Hotel DiamondPosted Apr 9, 2012
Pros: Comfortable good-sized rooms.
Cons: We returned to the room at 3 pm and it had not yet been cleaned. It would be nice to have it done earlier in the day.
Location: The location is excellent, right in the middle of town with a garage next door with free parking for hotel guests.
The breakfasts are excellent, with fresh made-to-order omelets. The attached restaurant, Jonnie's, varies from pretty good to excellent. But it's good to have it there, since the restaurant scene in Chico is somewhat limited.

Charming oasis in ChicoPosted Jun 1, 2011
Lovely ambience, decor, and atmosphere. Stellar and courteous service. Complementary breakfast was pretty good. Free parking right next to the hotel is awesome. Overall a very nice experience. Main downside - our room, while cutely decorated, was about as small as a shoebox. We could barely walk around the bed without running into the side table or the fridge. And the kicker - the bathroom sink was actualy not in the bathroom, but RIGHT NEXT TO THE BED ! Definite minus.

Diamond "Not in the ruff" at all.Posted Sep 8, 2010
Have to go to Chico, treat yourself. For the cost of a real good breakfest (free), you will break even by sending for a little more per night. The location is an easy walk around downtown and just off campus. The restaurant and bar are as nice and clean as the rooms. Enjoy the gentrified decor. I slept so soundly that I woke up early enough for a 6:30 AM yoga (Ziva Studio) class a short walk away. Treat yourself...............

Loved it, loved it, loved it!Posted Feb 24, 2010
I felt like I'd stepped back to the 1800s. Everything felt new and original even though it was completely rebuilt after a fire. Wonderful free breakfast with an omelette bar, walking distance to many, many other restaurants, shopping. Downtown Chico is really nice.

A little pricey....Posted Oct 17, 2007
A little pricey, ive stayed in cheaper and better hotels in napa. But this is probably the best they have in CHICO! So if you have to be there you might as well stay here. The location is the best part right in downtown. The checkin clerk was very attractive too.
