“Decent Motel in Downtown Chico”
My expectations for a motel in the midst of Chico were low, but this place was surprisingly clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of pillows, HDTV. First motel I've seen that required you to display their parking permit in your car (don't drive off with it cuz it will cost you 5 bucks). Only complaint was that the office wasn't open at 6am.
“Trip to Chico”
Nice hotel. Not fancy. Need to clean the flies out of the bathroom light fixture.
“Excellent room for the price.”
Excellent location. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend better towels.
“It is what it is.....”
I must say that after reading the other reviews from fellow travelers, I was frightened to stay at the Tbird Lodge. However, it was the only hotel with availability so I took my chances. The hotel staff was just lovely, and the room clean and comfortable. Sure, the place is a bit run down, but it is what it is. You get what you see and pay for. I would stay here again, hands down. Great value.
“Nice Hotel”
Front desk was pleasant and helpful. The hotel was new or recently remodeled, so it was pretty and pleasant. It includes a free continental breakfast, but there is a resturant adjacent to it with full breakfast and lunches. This hotel is within walking distance to Chico State. The only downside - parking is tight.
“excellent hotel”
the hotel is very near the downtown of Chico, and very quiet, very comfortable and clean
“Very Good Choice”
Great customer service. The front desk staff was very proffessional and friendly. We enjoyed the WiFi. The decor was modern. The hotel was quiet.
“Okie Dokie!”
Although right in downtown area, suprisingly quiet. Bed was very comfortable and always enjoy having fridge & microwave, hair dryer. Never sampled the breakfast, as it's too early for me, but there's plenty of choices for grub in very close proxcimity; health food store, Tin Roof bakery and Jack's Rest. to name a few.
“Look somewhere else”
Soundproofing was non-existent. Staff did little to keep down the noise from people partying in the parking lot. The breakfast was edible but not very good. The toaster was broken - only half of it worked. So there was a line every morning. Now how much does a new toaster cost? There are many nicer places to stay in Chico.
“Find somewhere else to stay.”
The room and the bath were dirty. Cleaning is superficial at best. The counters were black marble / plastic, which made it very difficult to find dark things we put down on the counter. The lighting was horrible. There was no elevator and we had to carry everything up and down a long flight of stairs. Guests came back at 2a.m. drunk, loud and partying and no one from the hotel did anything. The breakfast buffet was very good and almost cancelled out the negatives, but not quite. I will not stay here again.
