“No-frills hotel”

Definitely a no-frills kind of place. Rooms are spartan and I only found 2 hairs on my bed, but hopefully they belonged to the cleaning lady. I hope... My room lacked a mini fridge and microwave, which would have been a good bonus. The only benefit is the pub attached to the lobby (but I never went in).

“NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL...”

THIS HOTEL NEEDS HELP. IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A ELEVATOR....BUT HAS PLENTY OF ROOMS NEXT TO THE SMOKING WING..SO THE HOTEL STINKS. OUTDATED. CHEAPLY KEPT! EVEN THE ATTACHED PUB SMELLED.

“Find another hotel.”

In dire need of updating. Walls are paper-thin; could hear absolutely everything going on in the room next door and in the hallways. In a hotel that accepts pets, that is a big problem. We also had pets and I was surprised that there were no questions asked, no pet fees, etc., at check-in. Made it easy for us to stay with our 2 dogs, but it also makes it easy for others to abuse this policy, which no doubt affects the overall condition of the hotel. Linens were scratchy and right out of 1983; carpet was not clean; A/C unit did not work consistently; a dingy and stale impression overall. Breakfast particularly unappetizing. However, front desk staff very helpful when I called prior to check in to get pizza delivery recommendations, and when I subsequently asked to switch rooms - not the front desk's fault! Lots of better options in the area.
