The room was filthy,

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: close to route 29
The room as I say was filthy, the carpet need replacement years ago and when I told the front desk I did not appreciate all the black stuff flying through the air from the heater, I was greeted with a notify expedia but due not expect anything else. Like a refund. I paid too much for what I got. I do not think at this point I will use your site much less stay at this motel ever again

Hotel is in a safe area with a nice desk clerk. Rooms need some serious updates and deep cleaning. Eveyones door leads to outside and has a traditional key not an electronic key. Price is usually over 20.00 cheaper per night than the super 8 across the street. Overall its ok defenantly a half star to one star.

Comfortable room, big bathtub. Restaurants and grocery store right across the street. Good deal for the cost.

Could be better

There was a musty smell lingering all over. Would not recomment this hotel to a family with children. Would be OK for a single man looking for a place to sleep

The hotel is older but the room was well taken care of. Could use some updating especially in the bathroom

Only thing available

Posted Mar 9, 2012 on Hotels
I recently booked through hotels.com because I could not find a single hotel room in Peoria. The hotel is basically a motorlodge. When I checked in, the front desk was closed with a sliding window which made me very suspicious. The hotel is very old and worn out, but the room was pretty clean. The furniture and carpeting did seem old and was very dated. The shower tub could of been cleaner also. The overall cleanliness of the room was pretty decent. If you are just looking for a place to crash it is what you get. I did feel that for the price, the overall quality could of been better.

Snapshot of the past

The Economy Inn Chillicothe is a microcosm of the 1950s when single-level motels lined America's hightways. This motel is a spartan mom-and-pop kind of motel. It is functional and did provide a good night's rest. It was nice having a ceiling fan in the room and the bathroom was spacious. But all of the fixtures and furniture were weary looking, definitely showing their signs of age. The motel did offer a simple continental breakfast as a part of the package, something kind of unusual for this basic type of motel.
