It was an enjoyable experience but the pool changing room could use updates and more room.

Great Getaway

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The staff is excellent. The food is superior. The fireplace area is lovely. The rooms are comfy and very clean . I also like it because it is restful.
We love staying here. It is always a wonderful experience. We like to go here in cooler weather. We go on hikes, go in the pools and have tea in the afternoon. The town has many great places to eat and the food is always delicious. We enjoy the kids pool most to the time because the temperature is cooler than the hot tubs. It is fun to watch the families in the pool with their kids. We can always go into the adult pool or the swimming pool if we want. The indoor pool and hot tub is always an option too. There are so many options!!

Location: Toured all lakes for kayaking. Walked short hikes in area! wonderful!

Very expensive for this type of room

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: The hot spring only.
Cons: Don't try to earn little money from the travellers. We pay 190$ for a room (which is not super nice btw) and then we should pay for the parking, etc.
Location: There can be a nice trail around the lake.
Don't expect a very clean and pleasant room. Be ready to pay for the hot spring not for the room.

lack of courtesy and professionalism

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Cons: courtesy and professionalism
We were in room 210 and the guests above us in 310 kept stomping back and forth in their room, very heavy-footed and talking and laughing very loudly. We listened to this for above 30 minutes then called the front desk to ask if there were any empty rooms that we could be moved to. This was approx 10 pm at night on the 23rd of April. The laughing lady who answered the phone asked if she could have a few minutes to check and could she call us back. We agreed and waited until long after 11pm but never received a return call. So we had to suffer with the racket upstairs and then they woke up at 7 am and started all over again. When we left the next day at check out time, we had an $80 fine for parking on our windshield. Why the lack of courtesy about the return phone call and then the parking fine to add insult to injury? Our 35-year history of visiting the Harrison Resort has been very badly damaged.

Harrison Hot Springs get away.

Posted Apr 4, 2015 on Hotels
We have not been to Harrison for many years. Much has changed but the area around the hotel and hot springs is still very relaxing. Our room was adequate , the hot pools relaxing and the walks around the grounds and area pleasnt even though the weather was not.

Decent for the price

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Hotel was ok for the price although the decor could use some updates. Didn't like the fact that you have to go outside to access the indoor hot springs pools. Afternoon tea and cookies was a great feature!

We had a wedding to attend in the hotel.

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: The pools were very handy and a fabulous asset .
Cons: The older portion of the hotel had no heat controls.
Location: Very relaxing atmosphere . There were choices for dining but did not get much discouvery time into the stay.
Everything about the venue for the wedding was great. We had a room away from the wedding party which was the older wing of the hotel. We found the room very warm and with no controls we had to open windows to cool it off for sleep. This was just this month March and so I do wonder what it would be like in the summer months. I found the hotel staff excellent and helpful and very friendly. I will return to enjoy those 5 pools for pure relaxation. You made it easy to enjoy . The room was quiet and clean . What more could you want ? More time for the pools! Thank you .
