CLEAN & QUIET

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and quiet; nice decor.
Cons: Make sure all plumbing fixtures work properly before guests arrive; maybe check inside room temp for adjustment.
Location: Walking distance to almost everything.
The most important things to us are cleanliness and quiet, both of which this hotel delivered. The spa facilities were not open, but they did have a great jacuzzi pool. It is an older Ramada, but well-looked after for the most part, with a nice lobby and nicely appointed rooms with good colour scheme. The only thing we really thought was tacky was that the bathroom sink plunger did not work properly, and we had to extricate it for the water to drain. We were only there for two nights and didn't want to be bothered with the maintenance aspect, so we just left it sitting on the sink to one side, knowing they would get the hint :). We needed the room temp controls switched over to A/C as we arrived just as a couple of warmer days hit in beginning of April, and staff were quick to send the maintenance person, "Raj", to get things cool for us. He was efficient, polite, and even stopped to chat about places to eat in town, and offered what turned out to be a great recommendation for dinner. We would stay here again.

Awful hotel with terrible staff

Posted Apr 8, 2015
The staff was rude and unhelpful. The room was disgusting. Very unclean and worn down. The hot tub, sauna AND steam room were all not working. We called the front desk twice about the "spa" and heard nothing back. All 3 still broken by the time we left. Overall awful experience. What a disappointment

Location is nice and close to beach

Location is nice and room is clean. Parking around hotel can be difficult to find though. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage or with small children, it makes sense to pay for their underground parking.

Pros: The beds were super comfortable.
Cons: Ice machine did not work on the tower level. The fitness studio, hot tub and steam room were having maintenance done.
We had a great stay in our room with a beautiful view facing the water. Everything is accessible from our hotel. However it would have been nice to go for a steam, hot tub and workout but all amenities were having maintenance done. We had stayed the previous year in the fall and the facilities were inaccessible during that stay as well.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced.

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The room was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a lakefront room and it was nice.
Cons: This Ramada definitely needs remodeling.
Location: Go to the public hot springs pool, take a walk, eat the early bird special at the Black Forest Restaurant, sit on a bench. Relax and enjoy!
The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean. They had a comedy show which included a buffet. The comedy show was excellent, the buffet on the other hand . . .They ran out of food. The hotel manager offered to fix the situation to those of us who missed out. Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay and we would do it again.

We will be back!

We totally enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and front desk staff were great! The room was a little chilly, not sure if we were working the heat properly though.
