"The secret Japanese community in downtown Toronto"
The front desk girl was really nice and helped us carrying 60kg of luggage up four floors. The room was really big and vintage style. Washrooms are quite small but good enough. Wifi connection in my room was not good but good in the hallway. Very central location. Lots of stores and restaurants around. Recommended if you are very interested in Japanese culture. Not a conventional hotel though- more like a old student Rez

You really cannot beat the location. A few blocks south of Bloor St and north of College so there are plenty of bars shops and restaurants. Also walkable to Chinatown and literally right on one of the main bus/tram lines so buy a daily transit pass and you can get anywhere in the city. For the price you won't find anything better. Students slamming doors at random hours can be a problem if your a light sleeper but other than that everything is as advertised. Will stay here again for sure.

This is my second stay @ the travellers hotel.. Preferred my last room ( last time I was moved to a diff home) this time I had a better check in experience with no hi cups!! they even emailed me the day before and have me ttc advice ect as we came to visit the zoo and aquarium. I had a tv, fridge & microwave ...however the tv channels were very few but hey we only booked the room to sleep in!!:) I'm sure we will be back since u can walk to the cn tower/ Rogers centre/& aquarium in less than 10 min PERFECT for someone out of town with no vehicle!!!!!!!!!!

Had a nice room. Clean room and shared bathroom. Liked the ability to have access to some kitchen amenities as well. But didn't meet a "staff" person. Staff communicared via text not in person. We were travelling as 3 and even though there was a queen sized bed and a pullout couchave, there were no pillows or blankets available for couch. Felt very safe here as well. Would like go back due to location and great price. Just bring pillows etc if needing more than the bed!
