I never expected to stay at such a fancy terrific place, it is non plus ultra. We enjoyed the proximity to the Sentral station where you can catch a very fast train to anywhere in KL. Little India is across a pathway. Many wonderful places to eat both inside the station and in Little India.
If I had one single note for the Hilton it would be- don't charge ala carte for everything! People kind of expect free wifi in their rooms these days. It should not be charged, and then when things ARE charged they are incredibly expensive. In my humble opinion it seems a little chintzy given that the rates are already generally high. Nevertheless, because you can use the wifi in the pool area, gym and lobby we were able to make this all work well. Thanks are owed to the lovely staff!

Ideal location for shopping, travel and restaurants. The recently opened nuSentral multi-storeys complex has a variety of shops and restaurants. The Sentral station is across the street with a covered pedestrians crossing with direct links to airport by train/coach/tube. You can do the check-in before boarding the train for few airlines thus less luggage to drag to the airport.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is on the 8th floor and is shared with next door Hilton.
Best to avoid breakfast in the hotel as there are many restaurants within walking distance where you can have breakfast of your choice for lot less than you pay at the hotel.

Enjoyed our stay.
Staff were helpful, our room had excellent facilities and was well finished (it was essentially a small 1 bed flat).
The pool area was reasonable, and was mostly deserted during our stay.
Location was not very central, so had to get taxis to anywhere.

Taxi from airport took me to wrong ascot--I did not know there were two facilities. There is Ascot Sentral and then there is the regualar Ascot. The Taxi driver took me to the regular Ascot because the reservation did not have the words "Sentral" in it.
Took me over an hour to get to the correct location at which time it was 3:00 A.M. in morning.
When booking the Ascot the person making the booking needs to know there are two facilities of the same name.

Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown is on Petaling Road--a shopper's dream, especially for goods like clothing, watches, and DVDs. Bargaining skills are a must. Highlights in the area include the British Empire shophouse on Jalan Tun HS Lee; the Jamek Mosque; the Masjid Negara National Mosque; Taoist Temple; Sin Sze Si Ya Temple, and the Hindu temple in Tamil style, Sri Mahamariaman. The Kuala Lumpur Sentral is the hub to all major rail system transfers and Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
