“Great harbor view”

The hotel scene in Chios is not well developed since the island has deliberately been left out of the touristic paradigm that characterizes so many of the Greek islands. Chios is a commercial island (shipowners). Chandris hotel reflects well this condition since it is probably the biggest hotel on the island. It is decent and conformable with a fantastic view of the harbor and right next to the commercial strip that surrounds the harbor. There are however no bells and whistles since the rooms are fine, but of simple comfort. I have no disappointment with the hotel and would stay there again if my business brings me back to Chios. Yet, this is not a location that I would consider for vacationing purposes.
