"Excellent service, amazing view, great restaurant"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Sea Dance for three days. Sea Dance is a relatively small resort, with about 20 (?) cottage villas, a restaurant by the sea called Sea Bass (I think), a quaint little (infinity) pool and beach.
From the moment Tum picked us up at the airport (for 500 baht, which is pretty much customary for Samui), we enjoyed absolutely exception service from every member of the hotel staff. At the restaurant, staff members that we never met before knew our names in advance, remembered our preferences, always greeted us with smiles, and tried their absolute best to make our experience an enjoyable one, like telling us that we could order off the menu for free during breakfast.
The infinity pool and beach is just amazingly beautiful, but neither is large, and the beach is quite rocky and isn't the most pleasing to step on barefoot. However, you can't ask for more as the beach is private and an absolutely joy to have all to your yourself :)
The restaurant, Sea Bass, is also a delight - slightly on the expensive side, but the service is exceptional, the view is perfect, and the food delicate, suave, and cosmopolitan. You can find more "authentic" Thai food experiences in other parts of town, but for a fancy romantic dinner, it doesn't get better than this. The breakfast selection, by the way, is simply amazing, and the quality is superb. Did I mention that breakfast is all free?? There's a ton of choices, the freshest fruit, and a bunch of things made to order.
