Good hotelPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, meals
Cons: Romn was a bit small and free Wi Fi would have been good
Location: Central, on tram line. Close to the devastated cathedral and the new cardboard cathedral
Very central although the city does not have a lot in the centre now due to the devastating earthquake.

Lovely Hotel close to CBDPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The first to the last impression
Cons: absolutely nothing
Location: Close to New Regent Street Close to Re Start Mall and many cafes and bars
My first impression did it for me the receptionist whilst new at her role was absolutely fantastic. My partner also felt the same way my overall impression of staff was nothing was a problem and they were happy to help. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food but we are returning next month and will do so then.

Amazing hotel in the city centrePosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: I liked that there were 2 lifts, so you weren't waiting too long for a lift. I also liked the fact there was a sauna here.
Location: Right outside is Cathedral Junction and you can get on the tram that goes around a city loop. You can walk to the original Cathedral and the gardens.
This hotel at the moment (after the 2011 Christchurch earthquake) is the tallest building in Christchurch. The reception area is spacious and opens out into the lobby/lounge bar area. There is a lovely gas fireplace here also, which is great on those cold nights in winter. I arrived mid morning and when I checked in, the check in staff advised my room was ready, which I appreciated as the standard check in time wasn't until the afternoon.

ExcellentPosted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: The location, Staff and Management were all just great. People were so helpful and answered our many questions. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: The room was a bit small for two people.
Location: Close to cathedral square. Easy walking to info centre and bus station.(1hr bus tour)
We had a very busy few days in Christchurch. We hired a car which we didn't use on the second day. Easier to bus or walk around the city centre. The hotel was so central and people were so friendly. Recommend the Gondola .

Central location and friendly staffPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Central location. Good price.
Cons: Free WiFi is standard in most hostels, should also be the case in hotels.
Location: New Regent Street contains a couple of bars and restaurants. The "container city" has a number of places to shop. Canterbury Museum is good.
So sad to see what has happened to Christchurch since I was last there in 2010.... but all the locals (including the hotel staff) are putting on a brave face and contributing to producing a vibrant, new city. Hotel is in the centre of town (close to the old Cathedral) and within walking distance to a the "container city", and city bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. Room was compact but well appointed for the price.

A central Christchuch propertyPosted Aug 3, 2014
Cons: Beds are bordering uncomfortable
Location: Good to be in central city
Good to have another choice in central Christchuch. Under new management after earthquake, the rooms are adequate although at times the lifts were unbrelaible. Restaurant adequate.

Central ChristchurchPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff who were willing to help with sightseeing ideas
Cons: Could not fault anything on our 3 day stay
Location: Very good location easy access to transport and all things that Christchurch has to offer
Great hotel located in central Christchurch. Room not that large but okay for 2 people. Very clean and staff were very guest focused. Would stay there again and recommend for return visits.

Nice central city hotelPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Value for money.
Location: New regent stret has some nice little bars and cafes, short walk to casino, and victoria street has lots of bars popping up.
Not a lot of choice in Christchurch, however would happily stay here again. Great views and close to some cool bars and cafes. Room was nice and modern, staff freindly. Great views of the city or rather lack of but nice to see some progress.
