Old hotel, bad first impression

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: clean and quiet
Cons: exterior appearance. Would not have chosen this motel had we not booked online
Location: Was close to event we were attending
Hotel was old and run down looking. Hotel staff was pleasant allowed us to check in early. Room was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated, everything worked, beds comfortable was a surprisingly nice stay.

Pros: The coffee pot. The fridge.
Cons: There was no plugs in the bathroom sinks. The musty smell.
Location: The location was next to the highway. Easy to find. To do near by = ?
Our room had a musty smell. The room was clean. The beds were uncomfortable but made up okay.

Cons: General condition could be improved.

Christina Lake Hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2013
The staff we very friendly but this hotel needs a littleTLC. The couple who owns the place are very nice and the food at te restaraunt was very good, however the rooms are in need of some upgrades.

It's OK if you're just passing through the area ..

Pros: Friendly service.
Cons: Dated.
Location: Near Christina Lake - we took a walk there and it was a nice area for families to visit and spend time at the beach.
We were just passing through and only stayed one night and it was the only hotel/motel in the area of Christina Lake. Paula, one of the owners, was very pleasant and helpful during checkin, but service was very slow in the dining room. I know her husband did all the cooking, but there weren't many people in the dining room and my husband and I felt that it was taking a long time to be served (about 1/2 an hour). They must do all the work at the motel, as we saw her taking linens to the laundry room the next day as guests were checking out. Best part of our stay there was Paula - very nice lady!! The motel rooms were adequate, but dated.

A great little place to stay.

Pros: It was very clean and well kept
Location: Beautiful location, lots on nice scenery, far enough from the road that it wasn't too noisy.
The owner seemed a little over worked and running a lot of things on his own, but he was extremely polite and did his best to fulfill our needs, which he did very well. The place was extremely clean!
