Difficult to communicate in English. Only one desk staff seem to grasp the language & was not to friendly . Chumphon is a lovely old Thai feeling area. Not many tourists.mostly a stop over place

The staff were all very friendly and willing to assist in any way. The room was pretty good value for the price charged. The buffet breakfast was adequate and I enjoyed the freshly made coffee.

One night in Chumpon
The hotel has a good location for people making a stop between going or coming from the islands, because the trainstation is close to the hotel and they even drive you there for free. The room was clean and big enough, with a decent rainshower and enough hot water. The hotel has a pool and at night there are some activities around the trainstation and the mainstreet. The hotel offers a pretty good buffet breakfast for 150thb. Will stay at this hotel again!

Great hotel
We stayed three nights at A-Te hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room big bright and clean with many nice amenities such as robes and slippers. Bed Asian ‘comfortable’, but pillows quite hard. Beautiful pool and good breakfast with fresh coffee. The area of town did not have much for tourists to do so we mostly just hung out at pool which is fine for us. Hotel took us to airport for 700 baht (not sure if this a fair price but was very convenient).

An Oasis In Chumphon
We stayed 3 nights at the A-Te Chumphon Hotel in late May - pool view room, 3rd floor. A lovely place - the staff are terrific, it's spotlessly clean, comfortable, modern and has a great swimming pool - an oasis in the middle of town. The breakfast is a good with a selection of Thai & western style foods from fresh fruit through to omelettes, salads, rice soups, savoury dishes, pastries, toast, cereal and Thai sweets. Plus fresh coffee, teas & juices. We had a dental emergency occur just before we were to head to Krabi and the wonderful Khun Gai called a dentist there and arranged an appointment for us for as soon as we arrived. She and all the team at the hotel were so helpful and welcoming during our stay. We loved the small touches - for example the standard 2 bottles of drinking water that are usually provided were glass refillable and not single-use plastic. The hotel also runs an excellent onsite restaurant - Prikhorm - super tasty fresh food. If you like your Thai food spicy then just let them know when you order. The sign out the front says A-Te is a "Relaxury Hotel" - we completely agree!

Old and not nice and SO EXPENSIVE ROOM in chumporn
Hotel is getting worn out, staff cannot manage when we came so late and tired. The area is surrounded by old and scary building. It lokks so scary in the nigh time and crowded with market in the morning. Some part of area is old and worn out. We came to late check in and my friend found that her booking is not the right spect that she bokked. Room is not so clean and Room rrate is super expensive. They charged us about 1800 thb per night which the room and service is equal to 900 thb room. I definitely not stay at this place anymore. Poor hospitality and expensive

Great for a Quick Layover
The hotel is setback from the road, providing quiet from the hustle and bustle of the market next door. Staff is very friendly and wifi was good but unsecured. Breakfast had a wide selection to choose from and was tasty. Be cautious in your room as the floor was very slippery from polishing. Nice hot water in the shower and comfy bed. They tried charging us for the room upon exit, and we had to remind them that we already paid in full at time of booking online, but the situation was quickly resolved. Overall a great 1 night stay for a layover heading from Bangkok to Koh Tao.

Great stay
Stayed here for one night, pleasantly surprised, great staff (manager spoke reasonable English) and large room. 10 min walk or 100 baht taxi ride from train station. Bed was UK super king (6ft wide) but a bit hard and uncomfortable. Quiet room which was good. Pool was nice , but in shade after 4.30 pm. Included breakfast was better than expected, egg bar and good selection. Good WiFi in all areas of the hotel. 👍 Went to affiliated restaurants (Prikhorm) opposite side of the car park for evening meal, very nice Thai food and reasonably priced. Would stay again if in the area.

I choose this hotel because I wanted to have a pool and was very disapointed to see that the pool is closed in May / June! This should realy be mentioned on the hotels.com website because i filtered for pools. without the pool the price is not ok. Plus: The room was nice. Plus: Good coffee in the morning. Minus: Wifi was not secured Minus: Not many english tv chanels

A nice economy hotel for westerners beside a night market with good local Thai food. Clean quiet rooms, confortable atmosphere, good buffet breakfast. Note: the locals love to practice their English when you walk the market. Makes for an amazing experience.

Located at the city center
This hotel located at the city center which is good for my business trip. They staff also nice. The room condition also good when compared with other hotel in chumphon. However, this hotel is not near the beach, it might not good for those who want to go for holiday.

Brief but nice stay in Chumpon
We stayed overnight on our way to Koh Tao. The hotel is set back in an area that you might think looks a bit run down but it was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay easy. We ate at the Prickhorm Restaurant a few metres away which was so funny. Loud decor and karaoke night for locals I think. Food was good. The pool looked very clean but we didn't get a chance to try it.

Very nice hotel with plenty of parking. Hotel is a little difficult to locate, but managed to find our way thanks to an extremely helpful local that led the way on his motorbike. We plan to stay here again.

Great short stay
We have stayed in A-Te for one night. From the moment we arrived to the end of our stay, the staff made every effort to make sure we are comfortable and get everything we need. The pool is nice, the rooms spacious and clean, breakfast is not bad but nothing to write home about. The weather was lousy, but we still managed to enjoy our short stay in Chumphon thanks to the warm welcome of the A-Te hotel and its staff.

A good place to stay for a short stop
The hotel is modern in style and clean. In the middle of the activity and you can enjoy dinner or coffee in the next door places. Nice pool and massage. The only down side is that the breakfast options are very limited for a min Thai food eater and the staff has basic knowledge of English. In spite of that they were very helpful in booking things. The snorkelling trip was a disappointment. It was too windy and the location barely had fish to see. The small huts on the islands were a sensation though

Lovely hotel. Good location for walk round Chumphon and not far from train station. Is walkable even with big bags (with a little break!). No issue checking in at 11. Breakfast was good with choice of eggs. The only bad thing was the hardness of the bed and pillow, and water was on the cool side. We would stay here again.

This was just a brief stop for us, in late afternoon and out very early. The staff here did everything to make the transition as seamless as possible for us. That included booking our fact ferry and sending us on our way with a packed breakfast.

In heart of Chumphon city with a walking distance to shopping mall, railway station or minibus terminal. You can find good and cheap food nearby. Pool is great, room is good, breakfast is simple BUT WIFI was very SLOW at that time I stayed.

Lovely hotel
The hotel is located in a strange town. We only used it as an overnight stay for heading to the islands. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Hotel room very clean and big. In the surrounding area there was very little to do , but the hotel met our needs. Coffee shop just outside do amazing cakes. Would def recommend if you are travelling to or from the islands and you need a comfy place to stay with pool, and you want to catch up with the news because that's the only tv channels available.

Stayed here one night as a transit stop between Bangkok and Koh Tao. Hotel is very comfortable with huge rooms, great bathrooms and really comfortable beds. Location is across the street from a market and near a lot of activity in the town center. Left too early to taste the breakfast. Great hotel for an amazingly low price.
