“Filthy”

Someone had written "please wash me" with their finger on the inside of the elevator. The ELEVATOR! That should tell you everything you need to know about the condition of the hotel. Other random things other than the uncleanlines: the dressers had missing handles. The lamps had shades that didn't cover the bare bulb. It's close to kings island so they don't have to try very hard to satisfy their customers. Avoid it if you can.

“Not well maintained”

I wasn't expecting anything too special for the price, but we stay in this price-range frequently, and this really was the worst we've stayed in. That's not saying it was horrible, but it definitely could use a LOT of TLC. The walls in our room were patched (and not well), there were stains on the bedding, and the bathroom was dingy. Also, the indoor pool & hot tub area are right across from the front desk. You can see into the pool from the lobby, front desk, and even the parking lot at the front of the hotel. I wasn't a fan of that, but it may be okay for others. Also, there weren't enough towels in the pool area, and when we stopped at the front desk to ask for more, we had quite a long wait for service (and we were dripping), and when someone did come to help us, he wasn't exactly rude, but certainly not apologetic or courteous as his profession should require. All that being said, we didn't switch hotels, but I definitely wouldn't book there again.

“Average Inexpensive Hotel Close to Kings Island”

Great location! This hotel is only a couple of miles from the main gate to Kings Island, which is one of the primary reasons we chose this hotel. We went for a Labor Day getaway from the kids and didn't really want to spend a lot on a hotel. The Baymont was reasonably priced and offered some good amenities like a breakfast bar and indoor swimming pool/whirlpool. The food wasn't bad, they had some good waffles and bagels. The eggs and sausage were about what you would find in a convenient store selection...just average. The outside of the hotel needs some TLC (there was some trash on the ground, weeds growing, bushes overgrown). The inside was a little better, but could use some touching up here and there. The staff was polite and courteous for the most part, however when we arrived the hotel owner's family was congregating in the lobby area watching TV and then later the next day they seemed to be fighting over the TV in the dining area. They seemed to be hovering throughout the hotel which was a little weird. Other than that, we found the Baymont to be a good value for your money.

Could use a little more cleaning in the hallways and elevators. Friendlier people at the breakfast stand. Very friendly and helper attendant at the check in counter. Give her a raise..

“Dirty”

The room was dirty. The staff were unfriendly. I will not be staying here again.

Find another place to stay. Bathroom was just nasty. Kids could swim in the pool, chlorine was burning their eyes and making them cough it was so strong.

“Not worth the money”

The sheets didn't fit the beds, there were bugs in the room. The management was not eager to help anyone.

“Quite a surprise.”

We booked the Baymont Suites because of its close proximity to Kings Island. I expected an okay hotel; usually was is found near amusement parks, but was pleasantly surprised at the room we got. We had a wonderful king size bed in a large, very nice, room. I would definitely stay here again on our next roller coaster trip!!

“Would stay again!”

Very satisfied with this hotel. Close to everything, quiet, clean and seemed safe. Very reasonable for a family and it includes a nice simple breakfast and indoor pool.
