Great, unless they loose power!Posted Jul 16, 2015
This hotel has a good layout and a wonderful waterpark, unless they loose power. I understand mother nature hits when it is unexpected. They were not prepared. They were not ready to deal with this unfortunate event. After power was restored, it took over 3 more hours before they opened the waterpark. Then when it came time to compensate, the message was.... we will be calling everyone in the near future. Failure!

Great for small kidsPosted Jul 14, 2015
The room was clean and nice. The beds slept ok and the kids loved the bunk beds. My teenager was bored after one day at the water park, but my younger kids loved it. Overall a very fun place to stay.

Everything was great with the exception of not getting the room cleaned on one day of the stay.

Perfect location for visiting Kings Island.Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Water park was fun! Lots of additional activities some paid and some free.
Cons: The hotel guest service staff was less than impressed that I had booked through Expedia and was not afraid to show it.
Fun family friendly place to stay. Great location, walking distance to Kings Island! lots of great places to eat very close by.

Family funPosted Jun 20, 2015
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the water park and there were plenty of staff available for safety. My six year old enjoyed lots of activities ( e.g., swimming, water slides, story time, dancing, playing the wizard game). The food at each on site restaurant was pretty good. Check in was a breeze. We will return again.

Awesome distance from Kings IslandPosted May 25, 2015
Cons: a step or step stool for the Jacuzzi tub.
Had an awesome stay in one of the Jacuzzi rooms. Loved the look and layout of the room. There were only two things that bothered us. 1. When we entered the room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. Now I know that hotel cannot always control inconsiderate people who rent the rooms, but it would have been nice for the room to be deodorized prior to our check in and not us having to request it. 2. there is no step stool or step for the Jacuzzi tub. If you're short like I am 5'2, this can caused a bit of an uncomfortable time trying to get in and out of the tub safely. Other then that, our stay was amazing.

Especially Good for Families with KidsPosted May 17, 2015
Pros: Pool is extremely safe and perfect for younger children (3-10).
Cons: Cleaning staff were not attentive (skipped room one day and didn't refill coffee, etc.)
Location: There is a walking path to Kings Island and there are a number of restaurants nearby.
The hotel itself was very nice, has a walking path to Kings Island amusement park, and is near a number of restaurants. The indoor pool complex is very nice and I could not believe how many life guards there were and how focused they were on their jobs. From a safety perspective, I would rate the pool area an A+. The pool and other amenities are more appropriate for young kids (3-10), but there are some huge slides and games in the arcade that might be fun for older kids too. The cleaning staff forgot to clean our room one day and they didn't leave coffee, etc another day. I am sure if we had called they would have fixed those things, but it wasn't worth the trouble. The coffee maker in the room was excruciatingly slow, so it was fortunate that there is a Starbucks in the lobby area. In their defense, I should add that the type of room we booked was sold out so they upgraded us to a room with bunk beds and a semi-separate sleeping area, which the girls thought was awesome. I was also disappointed with the hours of the restaurants on the property - we slept in after arriving at 2AM and our only option was muffins from Starbucks. That said, there is a Big Boy and a Denny's 2 minutes away (literally) so we probably ate better and cheaper anyway. Overall it was a nice enough stay - perfect for our girls 7 and 9 - and I would recommend it to others with young kids or anyone with kids who is visiting Kings Island.

We'll be going back again, and againPosted Apr 29, 2015 on Hotels
Eventful. Staff is extra friendly and willing to help out as much as possible. Our room was ready when we arrived so we got an early check in. My nephew is a very finicky eater and the restaurant made exceptions to the reciepe to accomodate his palate. Staff treated my developmentally 34 year old son appropriately, understanding that to him the costumed mascots were real animals in his 5 year old thinking. Lifeguards help out even when a foolish old woman panicks (me) when the innertube tipped over. It was quite comical. The only thing I would have any thing to complain about is the way they are now charging extra for the MagicQuest experience. That was new since our last visit and nice to be aware of before our next visit in the fall. Not sure which location we go to next, so far we have been to 3.

Had a GREAT time!!!Posted Apr 29, 2015 on Hotels
Our first stay at The Great Wolfe Lodge was amazing! My grand daughters loved everything about the place.....the water park, the Magi Quest, the story tree, absolutely everything. We can hardly wait to go back.
