A Weekend in Cincy

Pros: Quiet. Did we mention quiet?
Cons: The elevators - almost got stuck in one!
Location: Convenient to IKEA, Cincinnati Premium Outlets, and not too far of a drive from the riverfront. Check out Newport on the Levee
We wanted to get away for a weekend of rest and relaxation. When we entered the hotel we were greeted by two very nice employees who checked us in, directed us to our rooms and gave suggestions for our weekend. Our room was very quiet and very comfortable. This was probably the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We would certainly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Pros: the great location and spacious rooms
Cons: The computers in the lobby. I stayed here about a year ago and the computers were not working then . Room was not services
Location: Kenwood mall, convenient to freeway
This hotel had a great desk staff. They were friendly and efficient

Good 24/7 Galley; Room didn't match other Hyatt

Hyatt Place a fine offering from Hyatt. This one didn't match or meet other "HP" experiences. Room had a 'needs a good cleaning' feel. No trash can liners. Drawer with hair dryer had visible hair in it. Sparse toiletries. Did not have any dresser drawers to unpack the suitcase. Towels were clean but they must be older towels. They were not fresh, soft absorbant towels. The bed felt like sinking in the middle. And this was a king bed with sitting area room Not even close to the experience of the Mason, OH location.

Nice room. No fan in bathroom.

Beautiful room but no fan in bathroom so it was muggy and lacked buffers. The bathroom was also very small.

Not as good as other Hyatt Places

Upon arrival after a long road trip, the kids wanted to swim and we were told the pool was closed "due to weather" (i.e. the pool was green and cloudy and neighboring pool was open...?) We had two rooms, one of the rooms floor wasn't vacuumed any of the three nights we were there. It also had a broken lock - screws were coming out of the lock. It was never fixed after hotel staff was informed. Both rooms shower curtains were broke causing the floors to be extremely slippery. There was a select few of the staff that were polite, but overall the staff was unprofessional. The hotel is in a nice area and has good restaurants nearby. It's just not managed as well as most Hyatt Places we've been to.

Within 15 mons to King's Island

We went for my daughter's birthday to King's Island. There were 6 of us in the suite. My fiance and his two children 9 and 5. Mine are 10 and 9. The suite was on the small side compared to others we've stayed in. The beds and pillows weren't very comfortable for this price range of a hotel. The pool needed cleaned. The breakfast was okay but it's such a small area for all the guests to try to eat. The room was clean but we've had the same accommodations at cheaper hotel chains.
