Nice, comfortable, food, no the best, but goodPosted Mar 10, 2014
Location: did not go out, only to Hospital
Was there for a conference in Children's Hospital. Hotel was very clean, comfortable, very easy to park, and access to hotel. The quality of food needs to be improve, more so for breakfast. French fries and bfast potatoes are very dry, and the pepper is overpowering. Eggs, potatoes, french toasts are dry and no salt, the juice from concentrate ... not at all a good thing ... The servers in restaurant and room service are a delight ... great job. I will be back, and I hope the food is better

Oasis in middle of CincinnatiPosted Dec 16, 2013
Pros: Staff response
Cons: Front of hotel check in area outside needs to be bigger!
From the very beginning I was made to feel like I was on the top of their importance list. The staff was very responsive and accommodating. The room was very comfortable...overall stay was well beyond my expectations.

Nice hotel. Close to Children's Hospital.Posted Oct 22, 2013
Location: We stayed here because my daughter was having surgery at Cincinnati Children's. I don't know about things around but it was close to the hospital.
The staff were amazing. They rescued us from a terrible hotel downtown at about 2am. The entire hotel is updated and very clean. The beds and bedding are more comfortable than home.

first time disappointed with a Marriott!Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, atmosphere
Cons: Bed quality and size.
Location: University of Cincinnati
Visiting our freshman daughter at UC with our son, we booked 1 room with 2 beds. The hotel staff were very nice, the cleanliness of the room and elsewhere is pleasant as well. If you are going to stay here in a King size bed room-then I would say that you would probably enjoy your stay. If your traveling with children and need a room with 2 beds-stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Marriott only has double size beds that felt like twin size! The quality of these tiny beds was not "Marriott" standards that I am used to. My husband and I sank to the center like in a hammock. When I called the front desk to ask for a room with queen size beds-I was advised that they don't have that room type in the hotel. After staying at the Hampton Inn across the street-the experience and free breakfast were quite pleasant and actually nicer than this Marriott.

Convenient location for our visit to the ZooPosted Oct 8, 2013
The staff were very helpful as we checked in. I was dealing with a fussy baby and a woman who looked to be a high-level manager (wearing sizeable high heels, no less) took the time to wheel out a luggage cart, help hold the doors and sent someone to bring me a bottle of water. We felt very attended to, which was nice. I also thought the breakfast buffet was delicious and reasonably priced. There were so many options on the "cold" buffet, that I ended up sticking with that even though I'd intially planned on getting the full "hot" buffet. Lots of fruit and quality breads, not to mention a very large assortment of toppings for oatmeal and toast.

Weekend TripPosted Sep 24, 2013
Cons: Parking a little confusing. Make sure and discuss whether you will self park at any time or always use valet when you are checking in.
Location: Hotel is located within the university. We were there for a poker tournament downtown at the Horseshoe Casino which was only 5 min or so away.
The decor was beautiful and hotel was very clean. Was kind of tucked away within the university buildings which made for a quiet place. Easy to get to from downtown. Definitely would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

great place to stay!Posted Sep 16, 2013
This was our second stay at the Kingsgate Marriott on UC campus. We have family and friends in Cincinnati and have stayed at most of the nicer hotels in downtown Cincinnati and in Northern KY, but this Marriott is becoming a favorite. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is newer and modern and the rooms are modest and comfortable. Parking is less expensive for $10 with unlimited in/out access. It's close to Clifton's campus and gaslight districts with lots of restaurant options. Also, not too far if you are planning to go downtown for a game or event.
