close to the Tennis Center

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: comfort and location
Cons: a separate door for the bathroom..so the sink area can be used while someone else is using shower or toilet.
Walking distance to dining, shopping, and the tennis center

Close to the tennis tournament. Get there walking.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Friendly and pretty clean. Very close to the tennis tournament. We like to walk there. This year a path was very clear and the field was mowed. Nice!
Cons: Breakfast food selection. Kind of smelled in the room a little.
Location: Great location for Cincy tennis tournament.
Hotel Staff is pleasant. Lots of breakfast room. Not enough protein or fruit. I am wheat-free and only could eat oatmeal which would not be good for celiacs but I can tolerate it. No fruit.

Just Awful

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Closeness to venue.
Cons: Complete overhaul and update.
Location: We went to the Western Southern Open in Mason, Ohio.
Old furniture. Old everything. Shower falling apart. Porcelain on sink chipped. Hole in the wall. Smelled of sewage. Beds small.

Noisey

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: It's location.
Cons: A lot needs to be done.
Location: Location was great minus the interstate traffic noises.
Not very happy with the experience, to start off with the first room the gave me the keys would not open the door. So had to go back to desk to get a new room. The dogs down stairs from my new room continuesly barked. The ice machines were both broken. No refrigerator, only had two wash clothes in the room. Some outlets and lamps didn't work. The hair dryer kept over heating. Also during the breakfast there was no where to sit to enjoy it. People were sitting on the floor eating.

8-9-14

Hotel staff are very friendly and pleasant. Took care of out checkin very quickly and professionally. The pool was clean and warm---big area to relax in. Very pleasant surroundings-has a pond with a fountain in it, and a few geese. The breakfast offered was well maintained and replenished in a timely manner as needed. I did have a few issues with the overall housekeeping of the establishment. The breezeway leading out to the pool and to the stairway had quite a bit of loose dirt and mud scattered about as if someone with muddy boots had made a couple trips through. I suppose it happens, but it remained until we checked out the next morning, giving me the impression it had been there for more than our stay. The carpet appeared to be fairly new and did not appear worn or soiled, and there were no signs of bedbugs or roaches anywhere. I took several pictures--hope I can figure out how to share them with this. The bathroom shower looked like it had been sprayed with a cleaner and allowed to run down the wall and dry. I scraped my nail across it and collected waxy buildup---that I'm certain could be removed with an abrasive cleaner and a little elbow grease. The bath vent was in serious need iof cleaning and the doors both had dirty finger print marks from opening and closing. Sheets were clean, mirrors were clean. I couldn't get a nonsmoking room---and came prepared with a big bottle of Febreeze---which I generously used, but it can only do so much. Got what I paid 4

Decent hotel for short stay.

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive, clean, close to King's Island, a lot of food choices nearby that were not all fast food.
Cons: The ice machines definitely.
Location: King's Island/Soak City is nearby as is The Beach. A lot of amusement type attractions. If you want to go shopping you will have a bit of a haul.
For the price, this motel was fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were accommodating. Get a room NOT facing I-71 as the traffic is loud. Pool was clean and enjoyed by many it seemed. Lots of food choices nearby, and about a five minute drive to King's Island. However, they do have a shuttle bus to King's Island too if you don't want to pay for parking. Two downsides. 1) ice machines either did not work or worked poorly and 2) their "fitness center" was closed for repairs. The whole center! Not that it was much (one universal weight machine, an Airdyne bike, and one other small piece) anyway. Regardless, I would stay there again.

Nice hotel very close to Kings Island

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We had a nice stay at this hotel. It is clearly on the older side but still clean and comfortable. There is nothing fancy but overall a pleasant stay for the price. The pool is heated which is nice for an evening swim. The hotel is very close to Kings Island and Interstate 71 which is nice for travel. I would recommend it to a friend.
