A delightful B & B in RiomaggiorePosted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: A highlight for me were the beautifully prepared buffet breakfasts, with fresh seasonal fruit, local cheeses, pastries, and the best expresso coffee.
Cons: I like reading at night, so a well-located bed lamp would be useful.
Location: From Riomaggiore it is easy to purchase your Cinque Terre Card, then catch either the train or bus to any of the other 4 villages.
This delightful accommodation run by Piero, Carla and their son Davido, is located high above the village on Via De Batte. At the start of your stay, If you have luggage, it is better to catch the Cinque Terre National Park bus, which will drop you at the top entrance to the Residence. Here you place your luggage in a container, which operates like a funicular, and transports all down the steep slope, where it is collected by Piero or Davido. With just a backpack on, it is easy to negotiate the 350 steps down to the village and train station from the lower exit, which is located at the end of the terrace running the length of the Residence. Each room has a privately screened terrace from which you look over Riomaggiore and being so high, you are above the hustle and bustle of the lower village tourist activities. Barista Piero was usually in charge of morning coffee making and both he and Davido provided good advice about various walks in the Cinque Terre region; and they were a good source of useful local information. Lovely hosts.

Loved our residence, spacious, and quiet!Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: It was very quiet and peaceful. There was a shuttle bus to take you up at the end of the day if you were too tired. Great views.
Cons: it was all good!
Location: There were restaurants up to go too. Laura recommended one, which we went to and it was very good. Great views of the town at nite.
Laura and family were great hosts and very friendly. Loved our suite, lots of room. Full kitchen, and bonus a washing machine. We had our own private lounge area outside, surrounded with flowers and lemon trees. The breakfeasts were nice, lot of variety, meats, cheese, fruit, yougurt and breads. The owners, Laura and family were very accomodating and always ready with a smile!

Wonderful and accommodating staff, rooms and grounds very well tended, breakfast served every morning with other guests (sort of a mini social hour). I'd definitely stay there again -- you must be able to climb stairs in Cinque Terre.

Excellent location, friendly welcoming ownersPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Great size room with a private outdoor area, great for an evening drink. Friendly staff and great selection of local produce for breakfast.
Cons: Shower/bath, due to being below the stairs makes it a challenge for tall people.
Location: Great hikes and walks to the other quaint towns. Make sure you take a ferry ride or hike to Portovenere....well worth it.
Lucky to stay for 5 days. Local bus stop out the front of residence made it easy access to and from town if you did not want to walk the 10 mins. Owner provided a suggested hike guide which made it easier to select walks. Also a suggest eating guide for local resturants was handy. After visiting all the Cinque Terra towns, Riomaggiore we felt offered more shops, resturants, and being a wider Main Street was better able to handle crowds. Room was large and well maintained. Staff was always friendly and quick to solve any issues. Certainly recommend this accommodation to our friends.

A must hotel in RiomaggiorePosted Sep 23, 2014
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we stayed at Cinqueterre Residence for 3 nights. We absolutely loved this place. The grounds were beautiful, our room was so nice and clean, the owners were so warm and helpful and the breakfast that was included was delicious. The hotel is at the top of a hill and it was a trek up the stairs to our room but it was definitely worth it for the beautiful views and peacefulness. We would absolutely visit and stay there again!

Fantastic atmosphere/service in familydriven hotelPosted Sep 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very recommendable. Beautiful area. Fantastic service from staff and help even before arrival - pieces of advice by mail and phone. If arrival by car: Book one of the hotel' s parking places on beforehand and use the hotel's luggage lift because of severel steps. Very good breakfast. Lovely private terasses, spa... Very clean. Ask Clara, Piero or David for pieces of advice on walking-paths - especially path nr. 6/d is very beautiful. This hotel demands that you are capable of walking on stairs with many steps.

Trevligt HotellPosted Sep 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotellet ligger nära huvudgatan i Riomaggiore.
