“Disappointed”
Not as near to the train station as advertised, difficult to find. Indifferent service, without the usual Italian warmth. Quality of breakfast below average. No Internet (free or otherwise) for guests without laptops or tablets. Not a 4-star hotel at all. I've stayed at much better 3-star hotels in Italy.
“Horrific”
First of all, there are only 6 parking spots at this hotel, secondly there was NO air conditioning during our stay. Lastly, we had requested a queen bed and although not "all requests could be fulfilled" we were given an attitude and challenged when specifically our request HAD been made through Expedia. There is graffiti everywhere and a bit of a sketchy area so be fore-warned!
“Won't stay here again”
I've stayed at this hotel now twice with groups and both times the groups were not pleased with this hotel. It just doesn't cut it. It's expensive and the rooms are very loud. You hear everything in the hallways... doors slamming, maids vacuums, maids talking loud, etc. The staff is kind but the place just doesn't work.
“Excellent in every way!”
We had planned our trip to Italy for over a year and I was anxious & hopeful about our accommodations. I was more than pleased, in every way, with My One Hotel in La Spezia. Loved the location, the rooms were great, staff was so friendly & helpful and breakfast was perfect. Thank you for making this trip an unforgettable experience! We definitely would like to return. “great option for exploring Cinque Terre”
We were very pleased with this hotel. We arrived at 10AM after an early drive from Tuscany. Reception was exceptional - very friendly and helpful/told us our room was ready and let us check in at 10AM!/went outside to curb to help us find one of the hotel parking places/offered us coffee and breakfast We walked to the train station - a short walk up a pedestrian-only shopping street - and were able to spend the entire day touring the Cinque Terre. Very comfortable/spotless/modern hotel. Front desk personnel went out of their way to be helpful.
“Great Hotel, great location!”
My experience at My One Hotel La Spezia was most enjoyable. The hotel is very clean, comfortable & modern and the room was quite spacious, with a nice modern bathroom too. The continental brekkie was good & incl. in the room rate, which was good value, considering it's so close to the Cinque Terre. The only downside is that it is on the hilly side of the town, so there are lots of steps, leading to the back entrance. We discovered a lift, after a day or so, which makes access to the hotel easier, from the town centre. The train station is a 10-15min walk away, but hilly too, so, take a taxi, if you have luggage. La Spezia is a lovely town to visit, lots of restaurants & shopping, and a lovely marina & park gardens. From the marina, you can take a boat trip to beautiful Porto Venere or to 5 Terre. We really enjoyed our 5night visit to La Spezia and definitely recommend MyONe Hotel La Spezia - the staff are friendly & helpful too. Marilyn & Frank (Melbourne. Australia)
“Nice hotel with easy access to Cinque Terre”
Nice hotel. Good free breakfast. Free WiFi. Large room. Private bathroom w/o bath tub. No fitness rm.
“Central to La Spezia”
Housekeeping was terrific. Not only our room but the whole space. Breakfast was awful the first 3 days then good the last 2???? yet the breakfast staff was very nice. Front desk was mediocre. Impatient with our efforts to speak Italian. Gave me a 1:20 a.m. wake-up call when I needed a 2:20 a.m. If you are not European you will have a tougher time changing money & the hotel doesn't do this. There is no computer for guest use. Spacious rooms for Europe. Its a 10 minute walk from the train -or you can get a cab. Across from the hotel is the castle ruins. There is a back entrance which is great for access to the restaurants and shops. On one side of our room, we could hear the guests next door quite clearly. Safe area.
“Close to the train station and right off the main shopping district”
We stayed at this hotel due to it's proximity to the train station, and it was an easy 10-15 minute walk down the road from the train station to this hotel. During our stay we took the train into Cinque Terre National Park, which is only a 10 minute trip from Cinque Terre Centrale station. Before arriving we hadn't expected to spend much time in La Spezia, but this hotel is located conveniently just off the main street near some nice restaurants and shopping. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel.
“Surprisingly modern...”
I was quite surprised how modern this hotel was in the midst of an quaint, old italian citta.....my only complaint....for a non smoker..the room smelled of stale smoke. Was only there one night..but if was longer would have really really been unhappy.
