“Elegant hotel, close to downtown shopping and restaurants”

When I saw the location on a map I looked for a cab to get us there from the train station, but couldn't find one. It turned out to be less far than I thought, so I didn't consider a cab for the way back. The location is just off a downtown pedestrian walkway, with lots of shops and restaurants. I think the train station was about a 10 minute walk. The hotel itself is new and modern. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The room was very spacious, we were upgraded to a suite (not sure why). We had a separate office/living room, and shared a rooftop patio. Breakfast was good, which turns out to be a big deal in Italian hotels (breakfast isn't something you look for in restaurants). We used this hotel as a base for seeing the Cinque Terre, and it worked out well. If you can find a good room in one of the Cinque Terre towns then take it, otherwise, this hotel makes a good base.

“Best Place to Stay, Day Trip to Cinque Terre”

We arrived by foot from the train station (we had a roller bag and backpack) which was an easy 7 min walk. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and quickly checked in. The lobby was spacious and lots of natural light, and our room was one flight up from the front desk (the lobby is a couple flights up from the ground floor which walks out to an alley leading onto the main promenade, Via Del Prione). It was raining during our two day visit which the hotel provided us with an umbrella. Our room was incredibly clean, spacious and modern. Our window opened towards the mountains and it was nice to have the fresh air. The city smells fragrant from the orange trees, a floral scent. It was a great location to walk through the town to get to the train to do a day trip to Cinque Terre. In the evening everyone walks the main street which is bustling with young locals and families. Don't forget to enjoy the breakfast. Good coffee, cold cuts, cheese, eggs and other assortments.

“You could spend more and get less”

i would recomend this hotel but you hae to have reasonable expectations. Our room had two twin beds, which is typical for Europe. The bath had a tiny shower. The breaksfast was nice and the staff helpful. We stayed in quite a lux hotel in Firenze which looked a lot better than this one, but both the wifi and the shower worked better at My One Hotel. Price was very reasonable.

“Good hotel and location if you do not want to be right in Cinque Terre or Pisa”

My One Hotel La Spezia suited us. We wanted to visit Cinque Terre but not be in one of the 5 villages so this was a good option. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station and trains run regurlarly to Cinque Terre and many other destinations. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely balcony. I enjoyed the breakfast each day - cereals, tinned fruit, cold meats, cheese, pastries, bread. The room was quiet, the air con worked and there was block out drapes on the windows. However, with a teeny bar fridge that did not fit all our bottles of water, no tea/coffee making facilities, no gym, no pool and no English channels on the TV it is hardly 4 star but for the money I think it is good value and I would recommend.

“Good base for Cinque Terre”

A modern and comfortable hotel, with good breakfasts. Bit of a hike from the train station, along cobbled streets, which tested the wheels on our suitcases. Get clear directions first, if arriving by train.

“Clean business hotel”

Good service. Wifi in the room was free. The hotel is in the heart of the city 15 minutes walk to the waterfront and 5 minutes to the outdoor market.

“Good choice to tour Cinque Terre”

Resonably priced hotel in La Spezia to serve as base for touring Cinque Terre. Trains are frequent and inexpensive with the Cinque Terre card.

Great location, can't beat the included breakfast, excellent front end staff, knowledgeable and friendly. This is our second stay here and we would stay here again.
