We arrived to London for a short visit. We were lucky to find a room for 3 nights at the Arch. Check in took few minutes. We were given a room at the ground floor which seemed to be for limited mobility. The room was wide and so was the bathroom which had many safety bars. We just had some trouble with a plugged sink. The bed was quite uncomfortable bec of the soft uneven mattress. The decor seemed rather striking with many colours especially the wallpaper behind the bed. Iron and board were provided upon request but removed after few hrs when we were out! This was very strange bec every room should have them and if requested they are usually kept for the length of stay. Also a couple of electric bulbs needed to be changed. I think housekeeping should pay more attention to every detail before letting a new guest in. Anyway, I loved everything about the hotel especially the location and the friendly staff. I just hope they overcome these minor defects to reach perfection. I'll be back.

This hotel was a gem of a find. We were travelling with our 5 year old and wanted to be close to Hamleys. We walked out of this hotel and were at Hamleys within 1 minute. Also such a good location to be close to Oxford Circus, Covent Gardens etc. The apartment itself was spotless with great amenities and extremely friendly staff. My only negative was that the rollaway bed is perfect for an infant but if you're an adult your practically on the floor and sleeping on the springs. Luckily for me my wife got the brunt of the rollaway as the little one wouldn't sleep but that did not ruin our stay by any stretch. I would stay again without any hesitation.

I travel frequently for my job, so I stay in dozens of fine hotels each year. I always appreciate when a property has character and there's no question that Hazlitt's has personality in spades. I loved that there was never a moment I wasn't aware of being in the heart of London. The quirks that might have bothered me elsewhere (desperately slanted floors, lack of elevator, a small bed) absolutely charmed me here - like it was all part of the experience. I felt like I was a guest in someone's quirky Soho townhouse, rather than in a generic hotel. Plus, the staff was top notch and their service impeccable. Every day, my husband and I returned from our adventures (all of which are within walking distance) to be greeted by a friendly clerk who seemed genuinely interested in our activities (and a fat resident cat who was decidedly less enthusiastic.) I can't imagine staying anywhere else in London now.
Had we stayed somewhere with amenities such as a gym, a day spa, and turndown service, we'd have missed out on the feeling that we were truly somewhere different, historic, and special. If you want a cookie-cutter luxury lodging experience (which I totally appreciate when working) then this isn't the place for you. But if you want charm, personality, service, and the best possible proximity, then you'll love Hazlitt's.

We have stayed in many hotels in London over the years and this is the first one due to its location that you are hardly aware of the London traffic. But it gets better the room is a good size, bedding first class, mattress top quality pillow and duvet eider down. In other words everything has been thought of, a hotel which gives all the detail attention. Only one little thing the restaurant feels a bit of a compromise. But this will be our hotel in London in future.

I thought that we might be disappointed, as when you stay in such a well known venue it can sometimes not meet expectations. The Ritz however was all we'd hoped for and more. We just didn't stop smiling our whole stay.

It is great hotel with nice foods, location and all, personal touch as in check-in, the staff is superb respectful and highly professional, I like the way they prepared your name cards ready, so you can use for meeting business friends straight away and show driver direction, a little bit difference made a good impression, I will highly recommend to others, only one problem, this hotel is used to be a hospital, so if you are superstition, it might not your first choice.
