We loved our stay at this hotel. We arrived in SF on an early morning flight. They let us check into the hotel very early (around 10am) and even let us eat from the complimentary breakfast even though we hadn't stayed there the previous night. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The surrounding neighborhood was a real find. We enjoyed exploring Hayes Valley. Our room had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge with plates, glasses and flatware. It would have been perfect to store takeout, leftovers or groceries if one was looking to save money. The only downside was that the room was very small. But that is hardly a complaint given the priciness of SF real estate. We would absolutely look to book at this hotel again!

Arriving at this hotel was like stepping back into the 1920's. Very friendly and helpful staff, full of enthusiasm for their hotel on arrival.
Room was big and cosy. All areas of the hotel were very quirky with lots of pieces of furniture, books, pictures and ornaments to look at. The fire's in the lounge areas were always on. A nice touch was to have a game to play to relax in the evening. The con-siege was also very helpful and informative.

This is a quiet and clean hotel. Local cuisine with a Benihana close b. close to Muni line and taxi to Fisherman's Wharf about a $10 dollar cab ride. The hotel is centrally located for AT&T Park for Giants games, a short drive over the Bay bridge for A's Games. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The inhouse restaurant was very good as well. We will definately stay here again when we return.

I stayed at the hotel for business. The room was very comfy, spacious and clean.
The hotel isn't very close to a specific location but it's usually a short taxi drive from anywhere in the city.
I recommend it to whoever visiting the city.

Loved this hotel. Great facilities and ambience. A haven in a not so great area of San Francisco. We had an unfortunate experience walking out of the hotel when we were approached by a threatening character. Not great for my 14 year old son who then felt frightened of leaving the hotel. A shame because this hotel is wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the city. Lovely pool. Lovely muffins and coffee for breakfast and staff really friendly and helpful.
