last night in IrelandPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: steakhouse was very good, beds very comfortable
Cons: looking tired in several areas, needs some updating
Location: nice Bunratty castle adjacent but touristy replica village is kind of cheesy, we skipped it
excellent proximity to Shannon airport, good place to unwind on our last night and easy access to airport in the morning, only 15 minutes to Shannon airport

Nahe am Flughafen ShannonPosted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: Betten, Frühstück
Location: Bunratty Castle, Pub, Wollen Mills Shop, Limerick

Close to Shannon AirportPosted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Staff was so pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Updating, patching and painting.
Location: We only stayed one night. Location seemed cool for that. Walk to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Shopping and places to eat close by.
Location is kind of cool. Walk to Bunratty Castle, Creamery Bar, Durty Nelly's Pub and shopping. Not sure what else is in area as we only stayed one night to be closer to Shannon Airport (10-15 minutes away). Hotel could be beautiful. Lovely old building with lots of character but needs some painting, patching and updating in places. Our door jamb had several holes in it where they had replaced the hinge. Had not been patched or repainted. Mold on window sill and toilet paper holder was broken causing TP to bounce onto floor whenever used. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful especially when we had a problem printing our boarding passes. It's definitely a diamond in the rough.

Waterford CastlePosted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: We liked everything about the hotel!
Location: We only stayed one night and did not go into town to visit. We did see many stores and places to eat on our way through to the island.
This was such a wonderful place to stay. The Castle itself is set on a small island that you reach by ferry. The first view of the castle was just wonderful. Our check in went very quickly and you are given a room with an assigned name instead of a number. We were in The Otho Room. The room was just lovely. We went for an exploration of the Castle and then the grounds. There are paths you can walk in the wooded area behind the Castle and a path over to the golf course. We had dinner in the bar lounge area and breakfast the next morning in the solarium.

We had a wonderful stay. The castle, shops, and restaurants were great. We ate mainly at the Kathleen's Bar. The food was delicious.

Pros: The breakfast buffet good.
Cons: Lobby updated
The hotel was old and dated. The lobby was very warn, the carpet buckled and furniture worn. The room was ok. It is directly across from Bunratty Castle.
