Pros: The breakfast buffet good.
Cons: Lobby updated
The hotel was old and dated. The lobby was very warn, the carpet buckled and furniture worn. The room was ok. It is directly across from Bunratty Castle.

Comfortable and Roomy

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Good location, good breakfast. Large, comfortable rooms.
Cons: All was fine.
Location: This hotel was chosen for its ease of access. There was good shopping nearby and the location to the Castle was good.
There were four of us that shared a room for two nights. The room was large enough that we didn't feel like we were tripping on one another or in each other's way. Great place for families.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Good Food and Bar

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The staff, the lounge, the location.
Cons: Perhaps some of the older rooms can be brought up to the standards of the newer (electrical outlets, toilets, etc.).
Location: As previously noted, you could walk to shops, bars, restaurants, and magnificent Bunratty's Castle in minutes.
We stayed at the Bunratty Castle hotel on both our first and last nights of our trip to Ireland. The location was wonderful. You could walk to Bunratty Castle and the Heritage Park in literally 2 minutes. Kathleen's Bar was located in the hotel, and they also had full spa type amenities if you wanted to use them (I did not have time, but hope to on the next trip over). Also, there are shops and Durty Nellie's and the Creamery Bar also within walking distance. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable (some are newer than others, but all are spotless and very nice), and the food and drink in Kathleen's and the steak restaurant were excellent.

Besuch in bunrarry

Classic hotel

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Style and feel of this hotel was an experience.
Cons: The air bubbles in the carpet needs to be pulled and stretched. Distraction will walking, could trip.
Location: Close to castle and shopping. Good food close by. Easy access to downtown
Nice hotel. Close to castle and shopping. Easy parking. Clean hotel. Comfortable nights stay. Loved the pool and hot tub. Classic and vintage.

Run down, outdated nightmare!

Posted Mar 25, 2015
This hotel was so outdated and run down. The rooms look nothing like they do in the pictures on line. The bathroom was very dirty and parts of the faucet were missing. The bed was warped, We couldn't even sleep in one side of it. I will never reccomend this hotel.

Decent hotel across street from Bunratty Castle

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Close to Bunratty Castle
Cons: Updated rooms and cheaper food prices
Location: Bunratty Castle and Village are right across the street
Decent hotel but kind of run down and expensive. Decent stay, restuarant across the street is cheaper and better food.

Above average hotel

The staff here were very pleasant, kind and helpful when we had to move around a room. The beds were quite comfortable and all the necessary amenities were available. Wifi stunk - you have to join some bitxxx program that I didn't want to put on my phone, but otherwise everything was quite pleasant. This comes with a continental breakfast that was very good. A selection of breads, fruits, oatmeal, scrambled eggs and meats. Really quite hardy for a continental breakfast! You could easily walk over to Bunratty Castle. Absolutely no downside.

Family visit

Pros: Lovely Hotel, excellent Bar and Restaurant, the real Irish breakfast was enjoyed by all of us every day. Swimming Pool, Saunas and a very large Recept
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Many things to do and see, Castles, Limerick City, the Cliffs and so much more.
We arrived to a faulty heating system in our room, this was soon remedied by a very efficient, friendly cheerful staff.
