What a great spot! The area itself is not to be missed. We were really close to The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. This bed & breakfast is so cute and really special. Top notch service from staff who were all friendly, helpful, and quick to recommend excellent dining options in the area. The room was spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable and lots of natural light. Can't recommend enough, I wish we'd been able to stay more days there. I'll remember our time fondly.

Good value, but very dated
The room had a musty smell to it. It had very old furniture. Rugs and linens really should be replaced.

This place is a gem! Connor and the staff are super friendly and helpful. If Conner gives you suggestions on what to see and how to see it…follow it! He knows best. Go easy on the breakfast. Portions are huge but SO delicious! Check out the live music at The fountain!

This was a great base camp for a couple of nights while we explored Doolin and the Aran Islands. Staff was wonderful and breakfast was a great start of the day. A castle within walking distance was a nice touch. The local town offered good dining options including Monks.

Beautiful location with lovely rooms. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous! The best we had anywhere on our 10 day vacation in Ireland. Connor is a wealth of information about the history of the area and recommended several outstanding places of interest. Should we ever go back to Ireland, Cappabhaile House is definitely top of the list for places to stay.

Isn’t it nice when the Expedia website shows the rooms and properties and when you arrive the property exceeds those expectations! This can be said of the Cappabhaile House. The breakfast was outstanding and again exceeded our B&B experiences thus far throughout Ireland. Knowledgeable owner provides books and suggestions of sites around Ballyvaughn that even our idol Rick Steve’s fails to mention in his 2023 book on Ireland. Highly recommend this property to family and friends. Thank you!

Conor, Margaret, & their staff were friendly, accommodating, informative, and helpful on my two night stay. The view from my window was wonderful out back, and the view from the front is also wonderful. Nearby Burren hiking trails and just steps from Newtown Castle and the Burren College of Art. I arrived with a bad cold and didn’t want to affect others in hallways (wore a mask) or at breakfast, so they were happy to deliver me my breakfasts out front on one of their picnic tables. Lovely

Ireland’s west coast Jewel
Cappabhaile House is a perfect place to stay for access to the west coast of Ireland. You can get to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher within an hour each way. The ocean is a few miles away also. The view outside your room is stunning. Oh, and don’t forget to wave to the cows. Breakfast is delicious. Thanks to the staff, especially Connor, who must be the local historian. I’d stay here again when I return to Ireland!

A Fantastic place to stay!
Cappabhaile House was fantastic. Conor and Margaret were warm and welcoming. The rooms were huge and very clean. The grounds were immaculate! It was great to hear cows and sheep all the time. Centrally located right in the Burren and close to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher, there was always something to do. We were in Ireland for 8 days and visited many locations, this was the nicest. The breakfasts were sooo delicious and expansive. Conor took the time to sit down and chat with us numerous times. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

Cappabhaile House is the cutest little bed and breakfast. The staff were all wonderfully welcoming and kind. Our bedroom, which had a king and two twin beds, was large and comfortable. Breakfast was FANTASTIC and there was always way more food than one could eat. This is located in a picturesque countryside location, with a castle visible from the front yard. There is a cute little town about 3 minutes' drive with a couple restaurants, a small grocery store, and laundry facilities. There are several fun beach areas close by. The Cliffs of Moher was a breathtaking 30-minute drive. Do yourself a favor and take a sunset drive past the Black Head Lighthouse to Fanore Beach. You'll thank me later. The only suggestion I would have for the owners is to keep circulating fans on hand for the unusually hot days, like we experienced. Other than that, this B&B will not disappoint!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was nice with plenty of space, comfortable beds and pretty view of the cows out back! The full made to order breakfast included was fabulous, with wonderful brown bread. Our host was a local and an amazing historian of local (and overall Irish) history. He was very generous with his time and knowledge of the area, making suggestions of places to visit and offering a depth of information about the places we saw. The entire area is stunningly beautiful and there was so much to see and do.

The property is beautiful. Sheep out front, cows in the back. Staff is helpful. Breakfast very good. The doors need some WD-40. Late into the night our neighbors were opening, closing, slamming their door repeatedly. It creaked like a haunted house every time - really loud. Walls are very thin so I could hear every sound next door. I travel with ear plugs. Fixed me right up. Would definitely stay here again.

Sorry about the noise, there was a family of 9 in the adjacent rooms; one of them was ill and they were constantly traveling between rooms. There has been a heatwave and the door hinges have dried out causing the problem. I greased them and sorted it out thanks for highlighting it. I hope ye enjoyed your trip to Ireland and we would love to see ye back here again

Amazing little spot in the Burren area. The owner was wonderful - gave us great tips on what the area had to offer and what was really worth seeing! Thank you for you input, we hope you enjoyed visiting with us. You do indeed need a car to see the region properly. We are disappointing that you did not raise your need for a walk when you are here. We would have advised you that you could have taken a left on the main road and in 300 paces you would connect into the Burren Way via the Burren College. Or take a right and in 300 paces you could join the Wood Loop which takes you on a 3 hour trek around the valley, and mostly off road
