“The Heart of Ennis”

When we arrived, Expedia had written our special request as a Double Bed, but we had requested 2 beds and the hotel was packed. Despite this fact, the people at the desk were extremely courteous and promised to get us a double. They quickly did and sent someone up to move our bags from the room they had let us wait in. The hotel was perfect - it had a friendly pub,Poet's Corner,where we met many people including The Chieftains after their concert across the street at the cathedral.(which was an amazing show.) The Old Ground's restaurant called The Town Hall was outstanding. We could live at this hotel!

Very happy with the hotel. The WiFi was weak in the room but all went well. I would definitely stay here again. Ennis is a great town to visit in Ireland.

We were in this hotel one night prior to beginning a bike tour; we loved our room and the hotel. Reception was so accommodating and I think that's what sticks out -- how nice the staff was. The room is spacious and well furnished, the breakfast was delicious. Great place to stay in Ennis!

I liked this hotel because it was close to the center of town, the staff was friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the restaurant/pub area was always busy. Even though we did not eat there, it seems to be popular. If we ever make it back to Ireland, we will definitely come back to this hotel.

“Ennis, Ire”

With the small partitioned sitting rooms, each with its own fireplace always packed with peet and coal, the Old Grand is very much the old guard when it comes to comfortable, traditional Irish hotels. Our room with king size bed was among the most comfortable we have stayed in while in Ireland. Freshly done up in grand modern style with comfort amenities such as coffee and tea. The bathroom was clean and large, the shower, strong and always hot. The hotel's pub, Poet's Corner was in traditional style and just as comfortable as the hotel. Around the corner from hte hotel (I mean directly around the corner)is the main drag for shops, restaurants, cafes, more shops and of course pubs. Around the corner is Brogan's Pub. The best fish and chips in western Ireland! This is a must stay hotel. I will be back.

“Old ground hotel”

We had a wonderful time. Everything was great, and the staff graciously charged our U.S. electronics. They let us check in a few hours early, which we really appreciated since we had taken an overnight flight from New York. We would definitely stay here again.

“Nice Stay”

Went to Ennis for a wedding. Stayed 6 days and enjoyed Ireland as I always do. Nice town, many pubs and good shopping. Tourist attractions close (Cliffs of Mohr), Bunratty.

One of the nicest places to stay in Ennis--After traveling there many times and staying at a number of places in the area, this comfortable, quaint hotel is in a great location downtown and walking distance to all the town has to offer--nice breakfast, and pub food very good.

The hotel was very quaint with good service. Our bathroom had a leak, but all in all it was a great experience. It was a fantastic location.
