The hotel was very central & extremely comfortable, clean with a friendly atmosphere. Hope to return as there are so many places of interest to visit using Ennis as a base.

“Right in the heart of Ennis”

I so enjoyed my stay at the Temple Gate! The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean, and the hotel restaurant and bar were very nice. Loved the richness of the decor!

I was very happy with this hotel. My room was not huge but it was more than adequate,especially considering the great rate I got.The room was spotlessly clean, and attractively decorated. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

“Great hotel in Ennis”

We stayed at Temple Gate the last two nights of our stay in Ireland. The location is great, right in Ennis, within walking distance to shops and pubs. Our room was large and quite comfortable. The hotel has both a pub and a restaurant. We were especially pleased to see the security. Public rooms were open to all, but you needed to swipe your room card to access the corridors to the rooms. Only downside was the difficulty finding the parking lot when we arrived, but there are signs posted pointing the way. We were tired and missed them. I will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Great location in center of town. The hotel is amazing inside. Converting a church into a hotel was an interesting concept that worked.

“A great location in Ennis”

The Temple Gate Hotel is located right off the old town area of Ennis. There are lots of shops, restaurants and pubs within easy reach. It's a comfortable hotel and has its own restaurant, which is a plus. The only difficulty is locating the parking through the maze of one-way streets. I'd get directions from the very friendly, helpful hotel staff.

“OK for the price”

We chose and paid for an upgraded room but there was really no difference between our room and the standard room that we got for our kids. The location is close to the shopping and sights of Ennis. No air conditioning in the rooms and it was a bit muggy.

“Pleasant”

Smooth check in friendly staff. Needed 2 rooms for our family of 4. Only problem was web site says complimentary breakfast and they said we only paid for a room. After showing them the expedia website saying such they relented. But that took about 20 minutes and breakfast was ending by the time we went in. Scambled eggs were fake. Ate dinner in the pub. It was very good. Try the huge bowl of Irish stew or fish and chips.

dingy, thin-walled standard issue tour bus hotel. reasonably well located, parking good. staff breathtakingly indifferent.
