“Best Hotel Stay ---- Ever!”

Very friendly. Great breakfeast. Had to leave early in the morning around 5:30am and they made 4 To Go Bags for me and my family prior to our long drive. Breakfeast at 7:30am on Sundays so they didn't have to do this. Just an example of how nice the people were. This place is our number #1 spot when staying in Michigan.

“pretty good stay”

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but smelled a little (probably because it was a smokking room, and I'm a smoker so it didn't bother me). I'm sure the non-smoking rooms are different. The hotel is pretty dated, but has a very nice pool and a nice restaurant. The room service food was fantastic. Ample food and delicious. No inroom movies but TV had quite a few channels. 45 minute drive to Grove City premium outlets and much better price than any hotels in Grove City / Mercer. I would stay there again if I was in the area.

“non-smokers do not come”

We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Clarion, Pa. We specifically asked for a non-smoking room. When we were given the key card we were told not to smoke in the room, which of course we were not going to do since we do not smoke and asked for a non-smoking room. As soon as we opened the door to the room, it was clear that it smelled like smoke. We unpacked and I called the desk to complain. They did offer to more us to another room. Their explaination for the smoke smell was that the non-smoking room was between two smoking rooms and the smell must have seeped thru the walls which of course was rediculous. We were too tired from driving all day, so we didn't want to repack and more to another room. So we stayed in the room, but were very disappointed,

Restaurant food and staff were absolutley horrible !

The beds were horrible. They have an indoor pool so if you want to sleep passed 9am ask for a room that doesn't face the pool. The customer service at the front desk was fine however, when we asked to sit in the bar area before 5pm to watch a football game they seem annoyed. Also, when the waitress in the bar/restaurant area began working she said nothing to us. In fact, a table of 3 sat down and she didn't acknowledge them either. They eventually left. I finally just went to my room and brought back my own drink. Not sure how they make any money with service like that.
