Stay away. Room was not as described. It is the basement of a private home. You can hear the occupants breathing in the room above. The accommodations are cramped and the room has mold and mildew. It rained during our stay and the floor started to get wet, explaining the source of the bad odor in the room. Expedia should remove this listing.

hotels dot com double booked my stay and owner claimed they never received confirmation. It is 2 room only private property, and owner helped me to find a nearby hotel, which saved my night. it is very remote and isolated place, and GPS/cell might not work while driving, but it is an adventure and turn out not too bad.
My wife and I stayed at the B&B after a concert at Bethel Woods. It is over an hour from Bethel Woods, which I should have looked at more closely. It is on a gravel road, after driving three miles on a hilly narrow road. Ed, the owner is very nice and accommodating. The B&B is on a hill overlooking the surrounding area and is very scenic. The place is well furnished. I would recommend if you plan on staying in the Catskills for a few nights.
Surely there must be a minimum standard to be considered a hotel. This was a basement room in a private home. It smelled of mold and urine. There were no curtains on the Windows, no locks on the door, no air conditioning and it was 95 degrees. The bathroom was next to the laundry with no fresh soap or shampoo. The gravel driveway to the house was poorly marked with an abandoned pick up truck rusting at the entrance. Ask for a refund but was denied. Travelers beware!!
The owners of the home are nice and welcoming but the accommodations are disappointing. The bathroom is located through the utility room around the corner and no effort was taken to make it appear as though we were paying guests. The bedroom was fine and has wifi. The hot tub that appears in the pictures is ok but not well maintained. The views from the property are amazing and the peacock on the property is fun but It seems like this is just a way to make a little extra cash on the side. Clearly this is not a passion for the couple.
The people are really nice! We enjoyed our stay. Only problem is on the hotels.com it is clearly stated the room has two full beds, but it only has two twin sized bed. The owner also felt angry for hotels.com misled the customers.
Not at all what we expected. The room was in a dark basement, To get to the bathroom, you had to go through the basement recreation room and then a utility room. No lock on bedroom door. Basement entrance was a under a deck that was cluttered with junk and grown over with weeds. Outside hot tub was covered with a tarp.
Delightful place, wonderful people, immaculate room, spectacular view of the Catskills. And don't forget to say hello to Percy, their "almost domesticated" peacock. You won't believe your eyes!
We had a good stay and the B & B host was very nice and and the views from here were awesome! great place highly recommended!

Persnoalty and comfortable ambiance abound. Delicious breakfasts, with good conversation, and a view to beat the band. Will return if ever in the area again.
We chose the Blue Horizon for a change of pace from the typical hotel "room in a box" near our daughter's summer camp in Loch Sheldrake. We were not disappointed! This bed and breakfast is truly one of a kind, with a resident peacock, gorgeous views, and most gracious hosts. We were also treated to an early morning sighting of a mama and baby black bear, enjoying wild blueberries in the fields below. A delicious breakfast with other guests was another highlight. Just wish we could have stayed longer. A tip: call the owners before you arrive to make sure you have good directions--or you may miss the final turn.
What a relaxing, cordial, warm and lovely stay we had at the Blue Horizon. It is aptly named as my husband and I sat in the hot tub on the top of the mountain gazing at the distant mountains in the blue horizon. gorgeous. Alden could not have been a better host. We had relaxed and lovely conversations and also moments of privacy. He was most generous and offered us unexpected drinks, and comfy bath robes. He was very understanding when we had to rise quite early upon our departure. Loved our experience. A very special evening.
We did a 3-day backcountry trip in the Catskills and then spent a day at Blue Horizon. It's 20 mins from the trail. The view from the outdoor hot-tub is simply astounding. It was great for us, and we'll probably stay there again before/after our next trip.

If you are looking for a secluded, remote area, this is the place. The room was clean, the breakfast was delicious and the owners are friendly and accommodating.
We had a great stay at the Blue Horizon, our hosts were very nice and welcoming. The surrounding view is amazing and gives you a very quiet feeling. Obviously don't expect to find lots of restaurants or shops in the area (that was not the purpose of our stay so we were ok). Also, the bathroom (which is private) is right next to your room but you still have to exit the room to go there, no problem either but just thought it is worth mentioning.
Great place to spend a night or two. On top of the mountain and within beautiful forest, the place offers spectacular views. The house is very well designed to take advantage of the topography and the landscape, is very well maintained, and clean. The B&B owners are great hosts - you will feel like an honored guest. The only possible downside is the remoteness of the location, so as long you are fine with that I think you'll be happy.
This was a very relaxing place, it's as pretty as the pictures. We were greeted by a deer in the driveway. The windows were open all night and we slept to the sounds of nature. Breakfast was great and prepared when we needed it. Aldin and Eddie were great hosts and they were really interesting to talk too. We would recommend it and go back.
Alden and Ed were the perfect hosts. The room had two single beds, not full-size as advertised on the Hotel.com website and in case anyone has allergies, they do have two cats. The view is gorgeous and their resident peacock that pranced around their lawn made our daughter very happy. Beakfast was delicious and we had a wonderful stay. I'd happily stay there again. We did have wifi and a nice sized TV in our room as well.
