“Amazing charm you cant get w/ cookie cutter hotel!”
There is no doubt that this resort has been around for many many years, and in light of that it is well maintained and has a character unlike any cookie cutter hotel that my family has stayed at.
It's lake front location with boat docks and huge grassy areas with big shady trees are wonderful for families. My sons (5 and 2 yrs) had a great time playing on the property. Our room had our own porch complete with lawn chairs and charcoal bbq that opened to the large grassy area and lakeside seawall.
Very ideal for those who have the chance to bring a boat as the resort has direct access to the lake and plenty of space to park the trailers. There are boat rentals nearby as well that you could dock up at the hotel.
The staff was amazingly friendly and very accommodating. I cant confirm, but I did get the impression that it was a family run resort.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable with TV, mini fridge, microwave, dining table and desk.
Another thing to note is that if we had neighbors, I never heard them, it was refreshingly quiet, unlike cookie cutter hotels that you hear everybody coming and going.
The resort's location was very nice too, as it was at the north end of "downtown" Lakeport, with it's mom & pop shops & boutiques as well as great places to eat all within walking distance.
