A trip back in timePosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Lakeside position. Spacious grounds
Cons: Updating TVs, better quality patio furniture provide even basic breakfast.
Location: Nice scenery, good for boating and fishing. Developing wineries.
This hotel has a lot going for it in a family friendly way but needs updating. Old style TVs and very cheap plastic patio/balcony furniture gave it a low rent feel. No breakfast provided is also disappointing. At the time of our visit there were a few groups who seemed to be visitng as family get togethers with adjacent rooms, communal barbeques and (noisey) games. Good fun for the families but kind of spoiled our hoped for relaxing peaceful weekend. This hotel works best as a family resort or if you are keen on fishing/boating.

Great location next to Clear Lake.Posted May 25, 2014
I loved being close to the lake and sitting on my little patio watching the lake and the birds in the trees. I had a very comfortable bed which helped me have a good night's sleep. The facility is showing it's age though. For example, the shower was old and worn but clean.

Gorgeous lake, great locationPosted Apr 8, 2014
Went up for a funeral, so we had to book quickly and for a lot of people. They were accommodating beyond any hotel we had ever stayed at. GM used to work at a marriott and is incredible. Checked in with a many named Havi (I think, I was so tired!) and he was amazing as well. Will come back for a more joyous stay.

We got the room with lake view.Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Quiet and peaceful.
Location: Just visited family but there are several fishing spots, a museum, the wildlife connected to the lake, and a state park not far.
It was beautiful. This time of the year it was very quiet with a little overcast. No breakfast was offered but they did provide cookies and coffee in the morning.

Pros: Friendly staff. Great location. Beautiful lake front property. Large area for kids/family activity.
Cons: Time for a renovation.
Location: Great, convenient location. Excellent tourist info available for lots of things to do.
Nice staff. The hotel is getting a little long in tooth. There were missing tiles on the bathroom sink counter. The rooms need new carpet. It was clean. The staff was very friendly. If you were going bass fishing with a couple of buddies it would be fine but not the best to take your wife to.

Good independent motelPosted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Setting and unique character
Location: Early in the season we expected to find Lakeport a bit dull but we found an excellent local restaurant and visited two state parks nearby.
an ideal spot to stay when visiting ClearLake. Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely situation, right by the lake. Pleasant room, clean and quiet. Biscuits and coffee available in the morning was a nice extra.

I walked in the room, it was typically neat & tidy although some of our lamps weren't working but I addressed it and they fixed it. Our room was poolside which was much cheaper but I did regret adding $30 for a lakeview which I think I would much rather enjoy because of a second entrance from the back that had a sliding door & BBQ grill but a walk to the lake wasnt too far. I did appreciate them granting my request for extra four pillows. Wasnt a bad stay but it wasnt a good one either but noticing from all the lodging on that same street, I am glad I picked this one due to the easy access to the lake. Regarding the poolsode rooms, I guess you get what you pay for.
