“Very good value.”
Wow what a shock, for the price I expected a dive, I brought my own sheet and pillow expecting the worst for only $45 or so. What a pleasant surprise. My room was very clean. New floring new paint, nice bathroom. The place looked great. Heat worked great, shower worked great good hot water with massage head. Frige and microwave! No iron or hair dryer but that was not surprise. The lady at the front desk was nice as well. I will make this where I stay when in the area. They even had a company that provided remote room service for meals though I did not use them.
“My stay at the Hotel”
The hotel was very nice. Price was just what I was looking for and within 30 minutes to my appointments at the Cleveland Clinic.
“My stay at Mentor's ABV”
This is a 50 style motel, no bells and whistles. The place was clean and much nicer looking than the photo of the sign. At the price it is a great deal.
“Clean, Quiet Place”
The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and pillow. I got a great night's rest there. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. TV worked well. I gave a 3 for the Condition and upkeep of the hotel because the room was dim, even with all the lights on, and also because there was no iron in the room. I don't remember seeing a hair dryer either.
“You get what you pay for, we didn't have any issue”
The air conditioning didn't really work, and so it took a while for the room to cool down. The linens were old and frayed, although clean and unstained. The toilet didn't initially work, although the hotel mgt did send a plumber quickly. The hotel clerks were all nice and accommodating. No problems.
“very clean, very good hotel”
Great Place to Stay at a reasonable rate, very clean, very good hotel,. cheap hotel
Just needed a night with somewhere to sleep while packing up a house to move. This met our needs exactly and was not too expensive.
We stay in budget hotels generally not when we are at our destination, but on the road. This hotel was sub standard even for budget status. The floor of the bathroom had kitty litter on it so obviously was not cleaned well. The drain of the shower was clogging and causing scary smelling water to back up.
“Fine for a late night stop over....that's about it”
We got only a little less than we expected for the price. For the price we paid for the room, we weren't expecting 'The Ritz'. But we expected it to be more than what we got. The room was basically clean, except for one night stand had some dirt, and the shower curtain was VERY mildewed. They offered very in-room little amenities, and were surprised they didn't even provide the standard mini hair dryer like most low cost chains. The thing we found most surprising was the laminate hardwood floors in every room (including the bathroom) and not carpeting, as we had friends in the room next to us who had the same floors. Although this was slightly comforting since you never know what's in most hotel carpets. The linens were worn and had holes all over, some of which appeared to be burn marks, which is odd for a non-smoking hotel. Our room was painted horribly. They had an accent wall that was re-painted. However, you could see it was a much darker color underneath, and they trimmed and only put 1 coat of a lighter color over it...and just looked horrible. Also, we stayed 2 nights and upon tunring down the bed both nights, we found long dark hairs on the pillows when my husband and I both have short hair. All in all...the room was livable but not pretty, and the cleanliness and maintenance left A LOT to be desired.
“Cheap is Cheap”
There are much nicer, modern hotels on Route 2, 90 and I 271. I do not like the hotels with the hugh glass window and cars in front of the room for security and peace of mind. Very friendly staff. But, cheap is cheap.
