Excellent hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Very clean and staff friendly. Probably the easiest parking experience I have ever had at hotel. The only negative is I asked vallet how to get to somewhere that is a big place in Cleveland. As he took my tip he said sorry I don't know as he shut my door. First off that is something you should know and more importantly shouldn't you offer to find out? However, great hotel and we will be back.

Great hotel

I stayed here with a couple of my buddies for a weekend getaway to watch some baseball. This hotel is amazing. The location of this hotel can't be beat and is close to everything. As an added bonus, the Toronto Blue Jays were staying at this hotel and I actually ran into a couple of the players on the elevators and in the lobby and got some autographs which was great because I was in Cleveland to see them play the Indians. Overall this hotel is fantastic and it will be the only place I stay whenever I am in Cleveland.

Great Hotel downtown Cleveland

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Everything, from location, to the food, to the service, 5 starts all the way.
Cons: Nothing I could think of.
Location: Everything we wanted was within walking distance. Restaurants, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, lovley park by the lake. The theater district etc.
We were pleasantly surprised at the over all experience we had at the hotel. From the time we arrive, to the size of the room and the view. The staff were always helpful and the location could not been any better. We were there for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2015 induction. The hall it was held in was across the street from the hotel and the Hall itself was a 3 block walk. Another surprise was the bar/restaurant. The food was very good. We had breakfast 2x and a quick dinner once, quite good and very reasonably priced. We will stay there a gin for sure. If you are going to Cleveland you can't go wrong with this hotel.

Great hotel but service is lacking

We stayed for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony and the hotel was sold out. The location couldn't be beat, right near Brown's stadium, R&RHOF, Cleveland Hall and the downtown area. There's even a train that'll take you from the airport to a large indoor mall near the hotel so you won't even need a rental car. Hotel was clean, well-appointed and modern but I found the staff to be very unfriendly and unhelpful. One front desk clerk sent me down by the stadium for food and it was a ghost town with nothing around (turns out all the eating establishments are the opposite direction of where she sent me). The clerk who checked us in was strange, uncomfortable to interact with and unfriendly. Then I realized I forgot shampoo & conditioner and called down to ask for some to be brought up to the room. An hour later, still no shampoo or conditioner but granted, the hotel was sold out and it was my fault I forgot to pack these. Still...this was not typical Marriott service. The only good service we got anywhere in the hotel was in the bar. The food was off-the-charts amazing too. You must have their cheeseburger. It's one of the best I've ever tried (and I'm a huge burger lover). Overall, I'd stay at this hotel again for convenience but definitely not for service

R&R Hall of Fame Ceremony

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: A nice hotel which was quiet despite the reason we were visiting. Nice amenities and a great lounge that stayed open and served food late.
Location: R&R HOF and the Cleveland Art Museum (within driving distance)
Was in town for the R&R Hall of Fame and the induction ceremony at Civic Hall. Can't beat this hotel's location for being near the museum/events.
