Too expensive

We needed a place to spend the night while driving home from Virginia Beach. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in and it was the most uncomfortable! Entire hotel smells musty, rooms are clean but under-decorated. Just beds in a room, and horrible beds! The mattresses need to be flipped or changed out! It was like sleeping in a bowl! The floor would have been more comfortable! For the money, I certainly expected much much more! If I hadn't been so tired, I would have found somewhere else to stay. Disappointing.

We had a king bed and the small pillows were not even enough for a twin bed.

Late night travelers beware!!!!!

Review is tainted by a no help tweener that made getting to the hotel next to impossible. Hotel advertizes shuttle service and Hotels.com called to verify. My plane was delayed at DFW making my arrival 1:15am. By the time i got to the terminal it was 1:28am at which time i called the hotel directly and got put on hold (interupted his video game). By the time he got back to me it was 1:34am and he told me that the driver just left. I said great, where should i meet him. He then told me that the driver just left work for the day and that the next person didn't come on until 5am. I had obviously interrupted him and he was obviously not trained with any concern for customer service. I had to actually say, "look, I am 2500 miles from home and i have a prepaid reservation to stay at your hotel, help me out here, how am i supposed to get to you?" His answer.. I don't know i guess you'll have to take a taxi or something. He didn't call me a cab, he didn't give me a number for a cab, and ultimately i didn't get reimbursed the $25.00 it cost me to wait an additional 45 minutes to get a cab to travel the 3.2 miles from the CLE airport to this hotel. Hotels.com should have a customer satifaction program that compensates us for false advertising incidents, more importantly, Hotels.com should do more due diligence to verify ammenties. 1 trip, 12 flights, 5 different hotels 3 booked through Hotels.com. 2 said airport shuttle and didn't have those services.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The bathroom sink/vanity was very small, otherwise the room was clean and served its purpose. I was most disappointed in the hotel restaurant and the special menu that they had for the Memorial Day weekend. I was craving healthier food and ended up going elsewhere to find it. Otherwise, the staff was congenial and my stay was fine. The kids who were with me enjoyed the pool, although we were all disappointed that the courtyard wasn't geared up for summer festivities, although it was too cold to have enjoyed them anyway.

Old musty smelling

This hotel smells like old cigarette smoke. You are greeted at the door with the old musty smell. I will never stay there again unless they do some serious upgrading of carpet and remodeling. The cloths in my suit case reap the next day when I return home. You have been warn stay away from this hotel... The breakfast was great and so was the receptionist at check in. The room wasn't bad but his hotel stinks!!!
