“Great hotel”

A great hotel stay even with the surrounding construction. It was easy to find and convenient from the highway. The staff was kind & considerate of my needs. There were plenty of restaurants, stores and activities to do near the hotel. The highway was nearby making it simple to travel for sightseeing and exploring a huge city.

“Useful for the Browns”

Came for an NFL/college football weekend, and the hotel was convenient for both the Browns and a game in Akron. All the usual shops and conveniences in the area, and the hotel itself had a Shula's sports bar inside it, which was handy for watching the second batch of games on the Sunday afternoon. The room was as you'd expect, clean and well-presented. One small problem was that at 6'3" the toilet was exceptionally low to the floor, almost as if it was a child's toilet? The bed was very comfortable, altho a little soft for my taste. Overall, I'd be back there again if I needed to be in the area.

“Recommend Highly”

We got to the hotel and was great very warmly greeted. Unforseen accident had me in a wheelchair during our stay in Indepedence. They was kind enough to give us a room that was wheelchair acceccisable, bigger room and stayed on the business floor. (During week so it was desserted up there) They was more than welcomed to give us a room with a bigger bed as my husband is 6 foot 5 inches. It was great stay and every comfortable beds. They tv had more stations than expecting. Since I wasn't able to get around easy we stayed in the room more. A nice warm cookies was given to us when we signed in.

Hotel was better than expected. King bed was one of the most comfy I have had in a hotel. Personnel were extremely courteous and helpful.

Very comfortable and spacious room; excellent service. On-site reataurant, bar, pool and exercise room a ll a big plus.

“Impressed”

Upon arrival, the staff was very courteous and friendly. It was as very quick check and within minutes, we were in our room. The room was very clean and well kept. We were very happy with our experience. The nit picky complaints I had were the fact that there were dirty dishes in the hallway at all times. I'm not sure if it was because housekeeping was not keeping up with it or if it was just my luck to be walking around every time people dumped dishes out of their room. It was kind of gross. Also, the outside doors in the back of building leading to the rooms were always unlocked which seemed a little weird with the back parking lot being a little dark and shady. This is being nit picky of course and all in all we really enjoyed staying there.

“Comfortable, clean rooms”

Room was spotless and bedding extremely comfortable. Cleaning service did an excellent job of keeping supplies and linens fresh. Room thermostat proved effective and convenient. Amenities were in excellent condition and of high quality. Staff was friendly and helpful. Arrival and departure were both accompanied by a free signature DoubleTree cookie, an act of great personal resonance. Convenient location, central to the entire Cleveland metropolitan area, and with quick access to several excellent, unique (some are Cleveland-area exclusives), and modestly-priced casual dining restaurants. Try Cozumel for great Mexican food (get the Burrito de la Roqueta, and if you're daring, ask for their off-the-menu extra-hot handmade salsa to go with your complementary chips), the Winking Lizard for local bar fare (and a regionally-famous barbeque sauce, always present at your table), Aladdin's for quick, healthy Mediterranean (and a wide array of desserts and smoothies), or Melt for a gargantuan beer list and the hottest trends in adventurous (and generous) grilled cheese sandwiches. If you want some exercise, you can walk off your meal on the nearby Towpath Trail, part of the Cleveland Metroparks, which provides a path through the trees that follows the Ohio canal near the Cuyahoga River. All in all, the hotel and surrounding area combined to provide an exceptional experience.

We highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping is consistently accomodating. Quiet and very well kept. Heated indoor pool is a wonderful amenity, as is the restaurant/sports bar.Snacks available. Business center computers nice to have. Location convienient to shopping, restaurants at all levels as well as highways. We enjoy staying at the Doubletree when we visit family or are in Cleveland fo business purposes. This hotel has become a first choice when we need to be in the Independence area.
