“Very impressed, great service!”

We were very pleased with this hotel. Convenient location to downtown Cleveland, a lot of restaurants nearby. At check in, we were greeted by a very friendly woman working the front desk. We ordered room service and it was delivered in a resonable time frame, the food was good. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast the next morning, the food was great compared to other hotels we have stayed at, the wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would choose Double Tree for future hotel accomodations.

Must see

We went to visit the Christmas Story house, it was a very interactive tour and we enjoyed it very much. We are big fans of the movie and would recommend taking the tour.

“Welcome cookies are a hit!”

This trip was a quick stopover for one night to rest our head before a bug drive the next day. Hot choc chip cookies on arrival, good sized room and comfortable beds made the stay satisfactory. Big clean bathroom, free wifi and we ate room service dinner which was pretty well priced, came quickly and hot was pretty good. Never been to Cleveland, don't know if I will come back, but in an area with plenty of accommodation options and familiar chains, the Double Tree was a good option. We booked this hotel through the "blind" booking and were pleasantly surprised.

“A very nice get away”

This was the most friendly staff ever! The room was very clean and looked nice. The bed was comfortable. The pool area was well maintained. Also, the restaurant was pretty good. Definitely try the breakfast buffet. I needed a weekend to relax, and this was just the place to do that.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

This hotel sits conveniently near the convergence of I-77 and I-480 just south of Downtown Cleveland. It was perfect for our visit to Solon (10-12 miles east via I-480) and our other primary destination, Parma (5 miles west). We did have a room across from the ice machine which, I suppose, is just bad luck due to the noise. But the hotel was spotless and the service was very friendly. Full breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelets and waffles. Yum! Maybe we got lucky on the Saturday night rate but it was a great value for the money!

“can't wait to go back”

Our experience was excellent. hotel was clean, friendly atmosphere. the cookies you get when you check-in delicious. the restaurant perfect food delicious. used the room service and it came fast the lady who delivered the food was friendly the food was amazing we enjoyed our stay. we know for sure we will be visiting this area again and would stay at Double Tree by Hilton again.

“Just Ok”

Overall, Hotel was nice. It is in a great location with many dining options. We requested a no smoking room. We got a room that didn't have a "No Smoking" sign on the door like other rooms. It was right next to the smoking rooms. Which would lead us to believe that people could have smoked in it before. The room was clean and didn’t have any indicating of previous smokers which was good. Because of this we didn't complain. However the hallway always smelled nasty. We have stayed in a number of hotels in that area and I don’t remember any of them having that nasty smoking smell. We will definitely take this into consideration when we stay in the area again.

“Very comfortable stay”

This was our first stay at the Doubletree in Independence. We would definitely go back. Front desk staff was very friendly. Two warm cookies at check-in was an added bonus! Room was very comfortable, clean & spacious. A lot of dining options nearby.

“Very nice!”

The hotel's location makes for a quick freeway drive to the east side, west side or downtown Cleveland, while avoiding the high prices or iffy neighborhoods there. And I got a great rate through Expedia!! My room was beautiful, immaculate and spacious. This is a little thing, but I especially liked the quality of the scented soap, shampoo and other toiletry items (sometimes I don't even use the hotel toiletries, but these were lovely). The person checking me in seemed very distracted and the process took way longer than it should have, but my enjoyable stay more than made up for that. The restaurant is good, too.

“A wonderful hotel with a bargain price!”

I really enjoyed my time there. They have a good restaurant, an exotic indoor outdoor pool, small fitness center and very comfortable beds. A strong smell of smoke took down the rating for me and the lack of fridge and microwave. I did enjoy the customer service and overall luxury of this place. Stay here for relaxation!
