Totally Unexpected!

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: It's history and architecture.
Location: The Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame is a 15 minute walk. The sports facilities for baseball and basketball are a 10 minute walk as well.
This was such a nice hidden treasurer that I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to experience something out of the ordinary. The architecture is amazing. Our room had high ceilings and a spectacular view of Lake Erie. The staff were courteous, especially those working the valet parking.

Perfect hotel for House of Blues

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Perfect place to stay for our girls night out. We walked everywhere and found no shortage of great restaurants and bars and we could (and did) return to the room at anytime in between venues. You can't been being directly across the street from the House of Blues and all the fun on 4th street. We enjoyed a fun meal at the Chocolate Bar located right in the hotel. The Arcade, in and of itself, is worth the stay. So glad that landmark is still around and still so beautiful. Highly recommend.

Beautifully restored hotel, perfect location!

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: LOCATION, the look.
Cons: They could provide a mini fridge in the room. Also, the parking is far too expensive.
Location: Horseshoe Casino, Tower City, East 4th St, Playhouse Square, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Science Center, the Stadiums.
I was in Cleveland for only two days, and I wanted a hotel that was within walking distance of downtown, the lake, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Hyatt Regency was the perfect location! It is less than 2 blocks from the Horseshoe Casino and Tower City, which is full of shops and restaurants. East 4th St., which also has a lot of restaurants and bars, is literally across the street. Playhouse Square is close by as well. The Cleveland Visitor's Center is also right across the street from the hotel. The free trolleys run right by the hotel, as do many buses. The Rock Hall, the Science Center, Lake Erie and the Stadiums and Convention Centers are all within walking distance. The parking was a total ripoff--24 bucks a day to valet the car--but there are multiple parking garages in the surrounding area, including one right next door where the max daily rate is between 12 to 15 dollars. They also charge 4 dollars for bottled water in the hotel rooms, and my room did not have a mini-fridge. Those are my only complaints about the hotel however; it is beautifully restored and decorated, clean and modern and quite comfy. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful as well. Overall, it made my trip to Cleveland a much better experience!

soundproof

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: location , decor and spa
Cons: Sound
Location: bars casino sport venues
Rooms are large and comfortable with coffee maker and fridge. Convienient to all downtown activities. Spa was nice and in hotel with excellent massage and professional staff.. Courteous hotel staff also. The noise was bad with parking structure on one side and courtyard on other. Sound echos. Needs better soundproofing.

Great downtown hotel!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Francie was great. At checkin she helped us navigate to where we were going. There was a wedding our first night there and she made sure to get us a nice room away from the noise. The hotel is so unique and our room was quite sizable for a single room.

It looked nice...

But our room was 5 feet from a parking garage and all we heard all night was car alarms going off. It was also kind of dirty...

Update Much?

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Read Above - Maybe Clean it, update it, well how about Clean it...
Location: E 4th street, Sporting Venues, Casino, - Anything you want.
The location is fantastic for Downtown Cleveland. Walking distance to anything and everything. That's where it ends. It has such potential in the old Arcade, but its dated, dirty, and leaves nothing to be desired. On the bright side I should have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback about your stay at Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed our amazing location, but disappointed that the rest of your stay was unsatisfactory. Although we are a historic building, we realize that some of our furniture and decor could use an update, and have recently begun offering rooms with all-new modern furnishings. We expect to have all guestrooms fully updated by 2015. We greatly appreciate your feedback, and hope you will join us again so that we have a chance to make your next stay more satisfying.

Beautiful Architecture

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Close to everything downtown.
Cons: More restaurants for breakfast.
Location: very close to 4th Street and all sports parks.
Beautiful old hotel - did not have enough restaurants though and over priced for what was available. But the rooms were nicely remodeled and were quiet. Hotel was not busy at all and staff was very accommodating.

Great hotel and super great location.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We were going to an Indians game and found this hotel to be in a super location for all we wanted to do. 4th Street with all the restaurants right outside our door, a short walk to the game and a super great Chocolate Bar right next door to end the evening made everything so nice. I was surprised that they charged for Internet use and a bottle of Aquafina water in the room (no refrigeration) had a $4.00 price on it. You seriously can buy the whole case for a cheaper price. Our air conditioning was not working properly, it was too warm in the room. But, the room was immaculate and the beds were comfy. We are definitely planning to stay there again soon. Great price for the accommodations Security and staff were great! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
