Convenient to Cleveland ClinicPosted Apr 12, 2015
A way better then run of the mill Hotel that is also connected to the Clinic. Really nice for those coming from out of state. Hotel was spotless. Staff helpful. We were welcomed just after midnight which was a much later time then planned due to flight cancelations. Pleasant stay. One minor blip probably due to late arrival..pass word to WiFi was on key card packet and we were not told until I ask desk person how to stay connected. Will I stay there again? Absolutely!

clean and spacious room; courteous staffPosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Very clean; modern design; decent restaurants downstairs; very helpful and courteous staff; reasonable room rate makes this a good value.
Cons: ventilation in my room could be quieter; walls are thin so better noise insulation might help.
Location: smack in the middle of the Clinic Cleveland complex which is why most guests stay in this hotel.
I booked this hotel on Expedia for a trip from LA accompanying my son for his admitted student program at CWRU nearby. It's 5-10 min. walk from CWRU. There are almost no cabs in that part of Cleveland; I Uber'd once instead of walking, and it cost $6.50 at 1.5x normal usage. Not a walk I would recommend in bad weather, BTW. The hotel is surrounded by the Cleveland Clinic (CC) complex; in fact, the architecture makes one think that it was built as part of the CC. It is connected to the hospitals, and almost all of the guests were there because of the CC. Apparently, the CC is closed on weekends. So when I tried to get a ride to the airport Sat. morning, it took the bell captain 20 min. to get a cab. I ended up using Uber again which took 11 min. In short, it's a very nice hotel and really geared toward people visiting the CC.

Good if you need to be at the Cleveland Clinic.Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Very convenient for people needing to stay as close as possible to the Cleveland Clinic.
Cons: The low quality and inconsistency of food and service from their "Room Service" is simply unacceptable.
Location: Nothing to see or do around besides the Cleveland Clinic. neighborhood.
Stayed for 14 nights at the Intercontinental Hotel Cleveland for medical reasons. I think this qualifies me to give honest and objective feedback. This hotel is very convenient for people needing to stay as close as possible to the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel communicates with hospital buildings through covered/heated bridges (Skyway), something highly appreciated in the middle of Cleveland's winter at around 6 F (-14 C). This is the only reason why I would think of staying here again. Besides the aforementioned, the only other positive things the hotel has is the confort of the room and the kindness of some of their personnel, especially the Cleaning Ladies, the Bellmen and some of their Restaurant's personnel. We had negative experiences with other personnel from the restaurant and the front desk. Regarding the room, even though the beds are very comfortable, their are not suited for people with physical disabilities. The bathroom lacks a telephone, something pretty obvious in an "Accessible Bathroom". The low quality and inconsistency of food and service from their "Room Service" is simply unacceptable. The worst ever experienced in an Intercontinental Hotel, something that from my perspective, should be a highlight in a hotel that hosts sick and convalescent people, that simply can't choose to go elsewhere. This truly resented me, especially after mentioning it twice to the Restaurant's Management and not perceiving any improvement.
