Damp and poorly maintained

Posted Jul 29, 2015
The beds seemed ok but the ceiling was stained, the floors felt damp, the sink had no stopper and was in a strange, falling apart formica cabinet, the shower was also poorly maintained. The public areas needed paint, floors were cracked, exercise equipment had broken pieces and some didn't work. The breakfast area was ok, as was the available food.

Not what I expected

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Easy access to I 90. Breakfast was okay.
Cons: Too much to list.
Location: Good restaurant within 5 minutes.
After being assigned to three different rooms( wrong room, room not ready, broken toilet ) , we discovered there was no microwave or frig in room, lights by bed and alarm were not plugged in and outlet was unreachable behind bed, and finally the tub drained very slowly. Carpet may have been clean, but didn't look it.

2 days stay

Posted Jul 19, 2015
nice enough hotel, wonderful check in host. Hotel was probably really good and its day but is showing signs of aging such as chipped walls in the pool area stained carpet, a loose toilet, and a closed up restaurant in front of the hotel which was confusing as it made it look like the hotel didn't exist.

All about location!

Posted Jul 19, 2015
The location was great, easy off and on the highway. The gentleman at the desk for check-in was very pleasant and helpful. The lobby was nice. The room showed signs of wear and tear,. the bedspread was stained and the wheel fell off the chair. At breakfast, the staff was sitting around when the lobby bathrooms really could have been cleaned. Someone had been smoking in the ladies room and left ashes on the floor and toilet.

Nice hotel near the Waterloo Arts District

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: The hotel is reasonably clean and secure. It felt suburban even though it was in an urban area.
Cons: Please shampoo the carpet.
Location: Once you get past the urban decay surrounding the hotel, you realize you are close to so many things that are interesting about Cleveland.
I knew nothing about the area when I visited the east side of Cleveland to see a concert at the Beachland Ballroom. I registered online and went into this blindly - and I was concerned about the area around the hotel when I arrived. I know many parts of the city are run-down and I wasn't sure what I would find. The staff were friendly and the room felt clean and secure. (Except for the carpet. They really need to shampoo the carpet.) I was in room 106. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Mentor Headlands - a terrific beach to the northeast. The rates were reasonable - and I was a few minutes from the Waterloo Arts District and Headlands Beach, which was nice.

Good for the price

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: Excellent desk service
Cons: General refurbishment needed especially the lobby, stairways and hallways.
Location: Easy access from the interstate, great location for a stay after a Tribe game if ended east the next day.
One night stay with economy being the goal made this a good place to stay.

Not a great hotel for the money

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: The woman at the front desk was very nice.
Cons: Needs a major update!
Location: Near the freeway & McDonalds.
So I was looking to get away for myself for one night & I picked this hotel. Here are some problems I had with the hotel. The TV remote was missing a battery so I had to call the front desk to have them fix it. The bathroom mirror was cracked, there were no hand towels at the sink, the door handle to the back door was broken, I was never given the WIFI password at the desk, they had an HBO guide for April (I booked for May), the carper was ripped & stained & there was gum stuck on the bedpost. I guess that says it all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they update EVERYTHING! Very disappointed.

bad

Pros: zero
Cons: everything
Location: close to highway
front desk rude, hotel charged credit card after we left even though I had pre-paid reservation, pool was not useable, room cold water ice cold bedspread had holes floors were sticky, bathroom door hit toilet when closing door, ceiling vent falling down, shower-head rusted, all caulking needed replaced, baseboards covered in dirt
