One of my favorite hotels ever!

Gorgeous, festive, old fashioned hotel. Could sit in the lobby for days. You feel like you're in a grand old NYC hotel. We never want to leave when we are there!

Pros: clean and visually appealing.
Cons: cost
Location: good location lots around. we went for dinner at the tilted kilt which was great.
clean room but in my opinion extremely overpriced and nothing special. Would not go back.

Pros: Only plus is the connection to casino and mall. Did have a good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Bathrooms need major update. Toilets looked like public restroom.
Location: This is a plus as it is connected to casino and mall. Did not have to go out in the cold.
I thought I would get a bigger room for the price I paid. I've stayed in nicer rooms for less.

Downtown option

Pros: Check in excellent, attractive lobby, adjacent garage, good location. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: HVAC did not work properly. Could not control room temperature. In room wifi did not connect, perhaps a blessing, as the cost was $14/day.
Location: Good downtown location (Casino, Sports venues, downtown businesses)
One night stay for a downtown business trip. Beautiful old property, showing some signs of age. Could not control room temperature (too hot). Wifi would not connect in the room. Comfortable bed, everything beside HVAC and wifi worked. Check in was excellent, though the on line Expedia address actually takes you to a side entrance without a doorman or bell hop.

renaissance cleveland

My husband and I were a little disappointed when we walked into our room and it had 2 queen beds when I had ordered one king bed. I called down to the front desk to see if we could get our room switched to one with a king bed. They said they were booked and that was all they had. I was a little upset but said "ok." Within minutes our phone rang and it was the manager. She wanted to apologize for the inconvenience and sent up a bottle of wine to our room AND gave us a $60.00 credit at the restaurant downstairs Sans Souci. Great customer service, they truly care about making the customers happy. We had a great time and a great dinner.

Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland

Pros: Just about everything!
Cons: A mini-fridge would be nice for storing cold drinks or short-term food purchases. And please don't hide hair-dryer in a bag in back of the closet!
Location: Easy access by car and Rapid Transit to the entire city!
Perfect location for activities and events on both the East and West sides of town. Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. Room and bathroom were both spacious, clean, and well-equipped.

great location, attached to shops & casino

Pros: attached to nice restaurant Morton's and shopping
Cons: Valet parking was hard to get to
Location: Horseshoe Casino, shopping, Cleveland Clinic
nice stay, staff was very nice and accomendating. the Hotel is very beautiful and clean.
