Maybe Somewhere Else Next Time

Pros: Again, the cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice and helpful. It is in a convenient location, is quiet and apparently safe.
Cons: Could someone be at the check-in desk at check-in time?
Location: Great location with much to do.
The cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice and offer what seems a genuine greeting. Two were helpful when I discovered that the ice maker in the refrigerator was missing a bin to catch the ice. Of course, they had to be given the remarkably un-friendly, snappish, and short-tempered attitude of the check-in clerk at the front desk. She was a little put-out with me, anyway, after I had spent ten minutes at the desk waiting for it to be staffed and, in my confusion, called the office phone to see if I could check-in. A little later, when I inquired about the missing ice bin, she replied with information on how to turn on the ice maker. When I pointed out that the ice maker was functional, merely missing the bin, she accused me of "cutting her off" and not letting her explain. I thought she was simply having a bad day, but the next day I observed her scolding members of a wedding party who were trying to check-in at the desk. Actually, that made me feel a bit better.

"High-speed internet" is a lie

I stayed at this hotel on business. While there, I had planned to get work done. They brag about "high-speed internet access", but the wi-fi was absolutely terrible. Their guest service directory says that you can use an ethernet cable to get high-speed internet. The front desk was no help and simply pointed me to their tech support, who informed me that the hotel restricts internet speeds to a maximum of 2Mbps, and they have turned off ethernet capability. To give you an idea of how terrible 2Mbps is, I could not even refresh 2 webpages at the same time. Every webpage took 1+ minutes to load. I had to attach a document to an email, and it took 30 minutes to attach. High-speed internet is not a luxury--it is a necessity. You would think a hotel that can afford its own business suite in the lobby would be able to provide guests with decent internet service.

Nice place for an extended stay

Very convenient to visit with our elderly parents and attend a banquet at the Executive Caterers at Landerhaven which is just across the parking lot. Great extras - social hour during the week, breakfast each morning, free newspapers.

Great place to stay

Pros: clean, quiet, reliable wifi, the community feel, and high shower head (I'm 6'3" and it drives me nuts when I have to bend down to wash my hair).
Cons: Nothing
Location: Went for a Rockwell Automation training class which was right around the corner. Could commute from the stuite to Rockwell in less than 5-minutes.
Overall, excellent experience at the Staybridge in Mayfield Heights, OH. Was in Ohio on business and the Staybridge Suites met all of my needs and then some. It felt like staying within a small community. The suites were clean, had a great setup, and the location was very peaceful. I found it easy to concentrate on work while in the room as there were no outside distractions. The fitness room was adaquete, and I enjoyed the evening receptions. Again, overall excellent experience and I will definitely be staying there again if there are any future trips for work.
