“Expensive but worth every bit of it”

Great location. The airport train drops you right under the Tower City complex, and the hotel is in this complex. Extremely courteous staff. The 6th floor lounge is great (got a bit crowded with the Yankees-Indians series next door), but could possibly stay open longer than just midnight. That was a bummer. Food is great, but they have only one restaurant. Public Square is in the neighbourhood, and has many great choices. But then this is downtown Cleveland - do not venture out on your own after dark, or so they say. Parking is a problem (I did not rent a car) - all valet service, so you keep tipping your valet each time you take your car out. It is downtown, within walking distance of the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and some other museums. The drive to Canton (to the Football Hall of Fame) is not that bad either. And best of all, Progressive Field, home to the Cleveland Indians is 10-minutes of comfortable walking. The river is next door, as is Lake Eerie. I would recommend this hotel to anyone willing to spend this kind of money, but the hotel ambience, the service, and all these fun places within walking distance make it totally worthwhile. If you are going to be totally downtown-bound, then DO NOT rent a car.

Area recommendations
Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame Football Hall of Fame (Canton, OH) - about a 45-min drive from downtown CLE A visit to Case Western Reserve University and walk around campus A ballgame at Progressive Field (in Baseball season)

“Pirates Ritz”

My wife sent the card from the room. First impression was grand. All staff were excellent. We got the suite so our 14 yr old son could have his own space. When we got to the room, our son reached behind the pullout sofa to plug in his phone, and there was a visibly dirty pair of underwear back there. Housekeeping came to take it away. We expected that while we were at the baseball game, the pullout sofa would be made up for our son; it was not. Little things you wouldexpect from the Ritz-Carleton. We were very impressed with Cleveland, and hope to make it back soon. Thank you

The hotel is situated in a pleasant downtown neighborhood -- at night, rather empty and mall attached is closed rather early.

“Beyond Top-Notch Service”

From the doormen and car jockeys to the Registration clerks, bellmen and chambermaids, Maitre d'hotel, wine stewards and waiters, staff at this hotel appear to enjoy their work and to be proud of their establishment. They were friendly, but courteous, and always helpful. A map of the city with places to visit would be a nice addition in the guest rooms.

Area recommendations
Area surrounding Ritz-Carlton was interesting with many sports and cultural amenities and other just east of the hotel along Euclid. The older part of Cleveland, not far from the hotel, has some fine architecture.

“There is no other place to stay, the Ritz is best”

It was a great experience. They knew my name when I got out of the taxi from the airport. It was impressive all the way around. The only thing that needed attention was Sunday brunch, it was just okay.

“Comfortable stay”

Comfortable, clean and quiet. Has direct access to Tower center (mall). Nice and cozy business cubicle. It would be nice if they offered free internet but they don't. Not the best Ritz Carlton I've been to though (luxury wise).
