Better than befor.Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Clean room & cost
Cons: Continued updating now that they have competition new door
Location: Marina and Elks Club
Looks like better up-keep and updating the place as it was getting drab looking. Still need some work.

Don;t stay in Clewiston if you can avoid it!Posted Sep 16, 2012
Cons: Most things
The hotel was taken over by road workers. I couldn't use the pool as the workmen were all drinking down there. There was only one member of staff on to run everything and we heard her complaining on the mobile about it and Saturday workers everytime we saw her! We also got charged for using a safe which wasn't working and we weren't told about before the charge - it was only a dollar but it's the principle! The location was boring - we called into the McDonalds drive thu and the staff snatch money at one booth and threw food at us the second - no thank-you, please or anything yet everyone else on our Florida trip had been lovely people! On this trip, we stayed in 14 hotels/motels and this was by far the most undesirable!

Great HotelPosted Aug 13, 2012
The rooms were a nice value and as nice as we have come to expect from Best Western. Best Western has continuity hotel to hotel. The desk clerk in Clewiston was fantastic. An asset to the organization for sure!!! She was very helpful and informative.

Pros: Hotel Staff was friendly and professional
Cons: The hotel is old and it shows.
Location: Central location
I'm sure Best Western has many fine properties in their system. This isn't one of them. Unless the lowest rate is your overriding concern, the Holiday Express next door would probably be a better choice.

Everything was just OK. Nothing special.Posted Apr 4, 2012
Cons: Weak wi-fi and average in all ways.
Wi-Fi, a very important component to us, was so weak that we could only get on-line once. The front desk didn't seem to think they could do anything. We were in Clewiston for a rifle/pistol match and had lots of HEAVY equipment. I asked for a ground floor room but they didn't have one so they upgraded us to a BIG room. That was nice and unexpected as I should have asked for a first floor room when we booked the reservation. On the second day we returned to our room just before noon and the bed was stripped but unmade. We went to lunch and when we got back it was in the same condition. We notified the desk and they sent two maids who did a very good job cleaning the room. Until this trip we had stayed in the Holiday Inn which is right next door. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn from now on. Although it is more expensive it would rate a "4" across the board rather than a "3".

OK for a stop over.Posted Dec 23, 2011
Location: We found Clewiston to be a friendly and safe town, but very little of Lake Okeechobee can be seen from the town, only a narrow strip of water. We are bird watchers and there were fewer birds than on the North side of the lake,
We found the staff friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and the bathroom huge. We stopped over for one night on our way from Cocoa Beach to Fort Myers Beach and it made a nice break in Clewiston.

It accommodated our need for a convenient overnightPosted Nov 21, 2011
Location: We stayed on the main highway, but Lake Okeechobee is near the city of Clewiston, and it has an interesting history.
We were pleased with the spacious room that included a sofa as well as a king size bed, which was very comfortable. A light, but adequate, continental breakfast was provided.
