Don't expect too muchPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Bed and pillows were comfy.
Cons: Towels - offwhite and stained. Half-filled lotion left for the next person to use. Front desk staff was very impersonable.
Lots of options if you are a smoker. Non-smokers make sure you are on the first floor, as the upstairs smelled like an ashtray. Rooms not very clean. Fine if you just need to crash for the night.

Worse hotel ever......Posted Sep 28, 2013
Location: In the middle of nowhere.
First thing reservation was all missed up. The staff was unprofessional. First time ever I was asked to leave, because staff felt they could not sayisfy us. If there was another place to go, I would have. Don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Where is customer service?Posted Sep 24, 2013
I Called this to your attention while I was on the property. No customer service at all. When I checked in I confirmed with the host that I had reservations for 2 nights and she acknowledge the stay. Then our TV was not working, the manager brought me a remote that not programed in., and ramble a few words to me to explan and left me holding the remote Next morning we wanted to sleep in because we had an event to go to that night, but at check out time the maid started knocking on our door. 3 times she did this the last time she announced that we need to contact the desk. The host statedwe had to call expedia to get our reservation confirm. After that was confirmed, they wanted us to move to another room. We did that to have a TV. Then we asked for some clean towels, the ones we had were yellow, dingy. They brought the towels while I was talking to Epedia, about the towels, the maid walked in without knocking on the door. The manager also called me and asked me to leave the premises because he couldn't satisfy me. Its the customer service that was the pitts. Never will I stay there again nor will I recommend it to anyone else. It was a stay from h---ll.

Good for 1 NightPosted Aug 10, 2013
Pros: price food within walking distance non smoking
Cons: update tv's
Location: a few convenience stores and fast food across the street. Duplin winery is just down the road and that place is great. Near the beach
we just stopped in for a one night stay and compared to price of hotels within 50miles it was a pretty good deal. A few places to eat close but absolutely nothing else. The hotel itself wasn't run down just seemed a little muggy. Had a lot of people hanging around outside most of the night. All in all a pretty good place to stop to get some rest but that's about all The young lady at the counter was very helpful and nice though.

I stayed there the previous night and it was fine. This night the room had a horrible smell and their was a slimy substance on the TV remote that was NOT appropriate to be in a clean room.

Gone downhill.Posted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: It was quiet and the staff was friendly although they were lacking in departmental communication.
Cons: The owners and management need to step up to the plate to prevent further deterioration of what could be a decent value hotel.
Location: It's between Raleigh and Wilmington NC with the Smithfield outlets fairly close by; otherwise, not much else.
I've stayed at this hotel in the past and returned because I believed it to be a good value for the price and the location was convenient for my needs. Over the last couple of years this hotel has really gone downhill with maintenance and housekeeping appearing to go unchecked. I was surprised NOT to find bedbugs. The drapes were hanging wrong from the curtain rods; the towel rod was lose from the wall; the stopper in the bathtub was missing altogether; the floor needed vacuuming; there was embarrassing trash in the parking lot. I don't expect a hotel in this price range to be up to date or to offer much in the way of a "free" breakfast but I DO expect it to be clean and maintained.

The motel was very clean, rooms quiet, and well maintained. At 8:30 AM there was nothing left to eat except a bagel and coffee.
