Dated but nice hotelPosted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: great/ centrally located to the business districts.
Cons: have more TV channels/ news in english
the facilities have begun to date, but the hotel has a nice charm to it. I believe that there are some renovations being undertaken presently though.

OK!Posted May 6, 2012
I expected more since this meant to be a 5* hotel. There was building work going on in the hotel from 9am till 5pm which made a lot of noise. The décor was old and needs modernising. I would say 3* rating.

5 Star price for 1 star hotelPosted Aug 4, 2011
Our stay at Meridien was really disappointing. We arrived to a beautiful building with manicured gardens but hotel room itself had old furnishing and bathroom seems to run down. We experienced leakage on the ceiling close to the bathroom on our last day. Upon inspecting, we were told it was just condensation from the AC. Staff at the front desk seems friendly but while checking out from the hotel, front desk manager was giving out my billing information to the family we were travelling with. Prices for average food at the hotel were expensive than what we paid at the previous 5 star hotel at Taj resort in Goa. They were supposed to have yoga in the morning but instructor took 5 days off with no replacement so there were no yoga classes. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel!Posted Jan 13, 2010
The hotel is very nice, clean, comfortable and beautiful. The rooms in the building near the backwaters are very big, with a living room + bedroom. The staff are very polite and friendly. Everyone tries to please you. The only problem was with the travel agency from the hotel. Considering the quality of the hotel, their service quality was poor. I tried to take a cruise in the backwaters, but they were not able to attend my expectations.

Worth Every CentPosted Oct 21, 2009
This hotel provides all amenities a modern hotel could offer and is two thumbs up on condition and quality of facilities. Though more a business hotel than a spa or resort, it fulfills those roles as well. Compliments to the Hotel team for making our stay memorable. PS: Though there is some work going on at the hotel at present, they are not averse to upgrade, availability permitting, in order to accomodate guests.
