It was a very nice hotel but the room I had was very small and there wasn't a decent sized mirror so I could check my outfit before I left the room. Also as all meals had to be ordered at the bar this sometimes delayed service if staff were occupied elsewhere. I'm sorry but as a single visitor I didn't feel included. However the food was good.

Great food and cosy surroundings.
Overall, a lovely stay at The Pheasant Inn. The wait/bar staff were especially lovely - friendly and cheerful. The bed was enormous and so comfy - and the food was fantastic. Some of the best pub food we’ve had in ages. We walked to The Lakes Distillery (a bit muddy at this time of year, but lots of fun) - and it’s perfectly positioned to explore both Cockermouth and Keswick by car.

It is a really warm and cosy quality hotel. Not fussy eaters, but menu a little too fancy. Will definitely look at this group of hotels again.

Room fine, shower room excellent bur the main light was very dim making the entrance and desk very dark. I didn't see the coat hooks until the second day. The large towel had a frayed seam which I wouldn't expect. Overall i enjoyed my stay but found the temperature much too hot. I could cool the room by turning the radiator off but i didn't have summer clothes with me so i had to buy a shirt to be comfortable in the dining area.
