Decent and affordable. Unfortunately very noisy, thin walls so I woke up constantly with the corridor doors opening and closing, people moving about, talking etc, so ended waking very early to the morning commotion.

Okay but not value for money
Bed was very comfy however the cleanliness of the ensure let the tern of the room down, mould in the shower mat, broken toilet seat, rusty chain in the door and a flush that didn’t work properly. Food was good and reasonably priced - biggest issue however was the noise. We were in room 1 which means everyone walked past us, right on the very squeaky floor boards outside our door. The walls are thin as well so you could hear everything being said.

Comfortable hotel
Room clean and comfortable, newly decorated. Friendly reception and bar and restaurant staff. Food good, large portions. Large car park. Quiet area.

No free upgrade to the Presidential this time so experienced a standard room which tbf did the job. It could use a bit of a freshen up but for the price it hits the mark. Bar in country club has a good selection although a bit steep on the pricing. That said a 5 minute walk gets you into Coleford where there are a few other options to go at. Needless to say I will be back so that is enough of a review in itself.

Great price. Supposedly 24/7 front desk but empty by 21:30. Newly painted room - therefore strong paint fumes. Window was accordingly open when we checked in, but that meant the room was cold. And the heat didn't turn on until morning. Good shower.

Lovely place to stay.
Lovely room and decor and Comfortable. Missed breakfast due to a last minute teams call and the receptionist was kind enough to ask the kitchen to make me a bacon sarnie :) Great service, kind and polite! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Refurbished room was clean and tidy. Stayed 2 nights, room not cleaned due to still implementing covid restrictions. Fresh towels available from reception. Hotel is an easy 5 minute walk into the town.

Have stayed many times before. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Room was ok but the radiator did not work, however this was rectified once reported . The bed was comfortable but there were no bedside cabinets and there was quite a bit of dust , especially in the top of the radiator. Food is good and it’s great to have socialising places in the evening, however, it is looking a bit tired and the comfortable chairs could do with a face lift. Overall , quite enjoyable and we would stay there again.

Enjoyable stay
Pleasant stay Very spacious room - upgraded to a suite. Not too happy to have to go over to clubhouse for food. Would be O.K in summer but not too pleasant on windy winter days. Good location very close to Coleford town. Everyone helpful.

Staff were polite and helpful,, rooms were clean but could do with a tray by the tea making facilities so as not to mark the wooden furniture with any spillages from making hot drinks. It was close by to the town of coleford.

Excellent value with a nice breakfast
Sizable property , which is an ex school building , & Easy to find . The room was clean & very comfortable with really nice toiletry s provided . The only slightly annoying points was the scweeky floorboards , both in the room & passageway & The clubhouse felt like a ' Gentlemans club ' rather than being " Cosy & inviting " .

Good location but could do with a bit of attention
Overall, a very pleasant hotel with friendly, professional staff. Good location with plenty of parking. On the down side, bed was very uncomfortable (could feel the springs!) and breakfast provision quite poor (scrambled egg not refilled on both days and only one toaster to make our own toast!) Still, I would revisit if in the Coleford area.

It wasn't nice. The hotel had cracks up the walls and celing what coursed plaster falling down. The maid tidyed the room but left the rubbish and left over food. The evening meals where cut to 6:15 pm latest and was not informed of this. Over all very disappointed
