“Best Situation for Us”

We had an interesting experience. The desk clerk we dealt with for the first 3 days was pleasant, but seemed not to know anything about the surrounding area or the services of the hotel. The clerk on the last day was someone a training film should use to show how that job should be done. We went around for three days without any idea of how to use the transportation systems until we figured things out on our own. The last day, the new clerk routinely handed everyone a very complete package and was able to answer all questions exactly and professionally.

“Silver Spring jewell”

Great hotel for business or pleasure. Conveniently located 1 mile from the 495 loop, easy access to DC and surroundings. Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant seems a bit run down, but food was good for hotel fare. Neighborhood is a bit iffy at night, but we felt safe. Close to shops and Metro. I stayed at other quality hotels in the area, but this one is the jewel.

“Nice hotel near DC”

The hotel was quite nice. We were a family of four, staying in one room. Sadly they did not have a room with two Queen-sized beds, so we had to cram into two double-sized beds which was not too comfortable. The housekeeping also never understood that we were a party of four, and never provided more than three towels every day. Every day we had to ask for more towels and coffee/condiments to be brought in, so we have enough for all of us! Complaints aside, the hotel was in a nice area in MD, about 15-20 mins away from downtown DC. They provided free Wi-fi service, and the room was very clean. They provide good value for the money, especially if you book it bundled with airplane tickets through Expedia. If you bring a car, they charge $12/night for parking at their underground garage. We weren't aware of any nearby metro stations... there may not be any. They also did not have a safe (not a problem during our stay), nor a fridge/mini bar in the room. There are ice & vending machines on every floor.

“Nice hotel”

Very convenient to the Metro station. Only a five minute walk from the hotel. Nice neighborhood, didn't feel unsafe walking, even late at night. Hotel offers shuttle service, but it was not a reliable option. Housekeeping needs some operation procedures review. Three days in a row there were no washclothes, but was quickly remedied by the front desk. Other than that, would I recommend this hotel? Yes.

“CDI--They Live Up To It”

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during our recent visit to Washington D.C. and would recommend this facility to anyone. The people there were tip-top in service and professionalism. They all were wearing buttons that had CDI printed on them. I asked what that meant and was told it meant "Consider It Done". That was everyone's attitude from the front desk, to housekeeping to those who worked in the adjoining restaurant. It was a great lodging experience.

“Would stay again!”

We stayed 10/14/11 - 10/16/11. The hotel is very nice inside and the rooms were cozy. I did not like the surrounding area. No coffee to be found in the hotel unless you buy and none within walking distance. Our room was booked for 2 adults and (1) 5-year old child for 2 nights. We received breakfast coupons for 2 adults only for one day. We had to pay for our child. The parking garage for the hotel, which you pay $14 a day for, is very cramped and not suited for an SUV. The staff was very friendly but they really need more staff at the desk. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes because the guest did not speak English and the front desk person could not understand her.

“Oxford Suites, Makati City”

I stayed in the Oxford Suites for 9 days while on my trip to the Philippines. Being my first time there, I found all of the staff very helpful and polite. The front desk attendants went out of there way if you needed help. All of the staff were just as friendly as could be. My hotel room was nice although a bit musty. Considering the hot humid weather, it was understandable. The aircon worked great but room service kept turning it off when they came in making the room hot again. I suggest you not have room serive come in if you want a cool room to relax in when you come in from the hot weather. The Hotel is situated in what is known as the Red Light District. Bars and (XXX) Clubs up and down the streets. Beggars and street salespeople will come running at you the second you leave the hotel. Their are taxi's always right outside the hotel to help make your escape...heheheh. Overall, for the price and the room, I would give this hotel 3 and half stars but for the customer service, I give them 4 and half. There are only a handfull of good hotels in the area so please choose wisely. I will be traveling there often so I checked out a number of hotels and was pleased with my decision.

“above average”

nice place, especially for the lower rates often found through Expedia. About five block walk to Metro and three block to outdoor mall with numerous restaurants. workout facility is poor, but all other amenities are clean and well maintained.

“Worth going to again”

Check in was easy, and staff helpful. Only one thing happened in the negative, we weren't called one morning when we left a wake up call for 6 am, and the alarm clock radio didn't work in our room. Otherwise everything was good.
