Good cheap hotel for the area

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Location: Has the Branch Ave metro stop within a 2 minute drive.
Good clean room with everything working, except the batteries for the TV remote died, but that was minor. Breakfast was adequate with toast, cereal, oatmeal & coffee available every day Only thing that changed were the pastries, switching from 2 types.

Horrible do not stay here

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: There is really nothing good about this hotel except the pool but I could not use it as my door would not lock
Cons: Major renovation new ownership
Location: Sit by the door with a gun. This is a very bad neighborhood
Door locks broken, non smoking room smells like smoke and urine. Room had not been renovated since the 70's One bath towel that I would not use to wash my car

Close to Metro

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms, prompt service and friendly staff
Cons: Security. So the surrounding area doesn't bother the customers as much.
Location: Metro into Washington, D.C. is a mile down the road. Easy access to other areas of Maryland. Andrews Air Force Base in across the street.
One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was location. Location to the Metro for easy access into Washington, D.C. and also to areas in Maryland that we were going to visit. We grew up in the area but haven't been there for 30 years. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and nice. The only issue we had was the area the hotel was in, it is not the best areas anymore sadly. Saying that nothing happened to any of our belongings or my car. If you don't mind an area that looks like it has gone down hill but want something near the Metro to easily get into Washington, D.C., something that is clean and comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff then this is it. Don't expect the Ritz. I am a little surprised that the Camp Springs area looks so...bad! What with Andrews Air Force Base there. All in all it was a good stay but I really can not recommend it.

Horrible

Posted Jul 9, 2015
The room is dirty and old the hotel staff have no idea how to communicate with guests and are unaware how to utilize their systems. The pet free is outrageous and the facilities are dirty. The staff also communicate false threats and make up laws in order for guests to comply with their demands.

Terrible

Posted May 22, 2015
Our first room had a terrible odor like urine. We complained and the front desk offered to spray it. They finally gave us a different room. It was dingy. The coffee pot had not been cleaned and the grinds were still in it.

Needs serious updating

Posted May 15, 2015
The staff here is pleasant and nice. My room was disappointing. Yellowed wallpaper on the walls. You can see where they removed a border near the ceiling; there's a ring in the wallpaper that is a completely different color there. About a yard's length strip of carpet was hanging loose from the wall near the sink. At night when you turn on the bathroom light you'll see little roaches scurry away. Saw a roach egg case in a drawer and bugs crawling around at night. Not for me AT ALL.

Pros: walking distance to local shopping
Cons: Would add an ATM and laundry center on each floor
Weekend staff not as pleasant as weekday staff. Gloria of housekeeping was excellent.
