The room was dirty an hadn't been cleaned prior to my stay. The staff wasn't able to provide me clean sheets or towels, to replace the dirty ones that were there, when I asked for them. Then the management espicially was the worst I've ever seen in my life. The woman rina I believe her name was, an her brother who we were told is also a manager, were deceptive in trying to act like the weren't managers, just to avoid having to hear any issues the guest may be having. Rina was very rude an disrespectful an didn't want to give even a few seconds of her undivided time attention to our concerns. She typed as she stared at her computer the entire time we were at the front desk talking to her. An in fact we only knew she was rina because we over heard someone greet her by name, just as we were coming into the lobby. We then seen the plaque on the wall with her name on it as manager. Rina then tried to act as though she wasn't the manger. We told her we heard the other person call her by name an we seen the plaque. An she said "what is this about". An was of no help from then on. My stay was terrible. How to Handle Criticism and Praise - Part 1 Criticism and praise are two powerful emotions we have to learn to live with. If we learn to respond in the right way to the two, they will develop us. If we respond in the wrong way, they can destroy us. Learn to respond the right way.

Close to MetroPosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived late but the staff was friendly. The room was relatively clean. Most of the cleanliness issues were in the bathroom. The shower could have been cleaner, there was an earring on the floor, and all of our towels had hair on them. The pillows are labeled as soft or firm, which is great but some of ours seemed to be mislabeled. There weren't very many outlets and with 3 phones to charge while we were in the room, that was slightly complicated. Not having a microfridge was difficult and it would have been nice to have a safe. The continental breakfast was decent as well. The neighborhood isn't that great but we weren't the only family staying at the hotel. The metro is right around the corner which is great for traveling downtown to see the sights.

Nice hotel, lousy areaPosted Jul 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
I didn't like the area at all but the room was cheap and nice. Too many bugs outside, not inside. The only problem I had with the room attendance is the sink handle was obviously broken and no one came to shut off the water. They said they would in the morning. We had to shut it off ourselves. Other than that it was a nice hotel. I had no problems at all. No bed bugs either.

Run down but a nice poolPosted Jul 14, 2013
Cons: Knock the whole building over and start again!!
Location: It got us fairly close to the national zoo without having to pay the extremely high rates of Washington D.C. hotels
Hotel lobby had terrible stains all over it. Uncomfortable mattresses, paint peeling off the walls and doors, some lights wouldn't work one of which made for a very dark shower, the front door wouldn't latch correctly so we had to keep the top latch closed at all times just to keep the door closed. The pool was very nice and clean though. It felt like I had booked my family into some sleezy pay by the hour hotel. I felt very dirty, for lack of a better word when I left this place.
