Pros: The bed was comfy and the front desk was friendly.
Location: Great location! Lots of eateries and shopping in walking distance.
I stayed for two nights. The first night I discovered the sink was clogged and shower would only get luke warm. Sink was fixed the next morning. Cleaning staff entered room around 1:15 without knocking. Parking was a challenge unless the valet parking was utilized but expected due to the downtown location. My last morning there the cleaning person knocked on the door at 9:30 to see if I was leaving so she could clean the room. That bothered me seeing that check-out is at 12. I also do not understand the purpose of slipping the bill under the door the morning of my departure. This all made me feel as though I was being rushed out of the hotel. I've stayed at many hotels and have never had the maid walk in on me, a bill slipped under the door or a maid ask me prior to check-out if I was leaving.

Most hotels today include some sort of breakfast, had to pay. People travel with computers, etc. so rooms should be better equipped. It was clean and the staff was wonderful. We would stay again, but with different expectations.

Pros: Convenient location near metro train and downtown Silver Spring stores, restaurants, and amenities.
Our room was not cleaned one day and it took more than an hour to obtain towels and toilet paper. On another day, the toilet did not flush and on a third day, we did not receive shampoo or tissue paper. Hotel was good enough to give us a complementary breakfast. The inconsistent service may have been due to Christmas holiday week with fewer staff or less experienced supervisor, but I would think twice before staying at hotel in future.

Clean, comfortable and soacious

I was very happy with my stay! I took my 81 year old auntie to see her 80 year old brother in Takoma park Maryland, so clean and comfort was a must. We were not disappointed, I am so happy I chosed Doubletree. The staff was friendly and curious, check in and out was simple and fast, no drama!

Cons: Room renovations on 4.
Have stayed at this DT several times before; excellent location and close to everything. Was a little disappointed with the condition of the room this time. Staff is always pleasant.
